    Mike,
Dave wrote down in his meeting notes a proposed race May 4/5 in Pineville on the river and May 18/19 on Lk Buhlow. Also had tentative Sept race for Quincy, IL. Have these three potential races been confirmed/cancelled?

        Quincy

As always the race at Quincy depends on the river level if we are to race back in the Bay. Most probably know by the middle of Aug.

Hi, Linda. My notes said exactly the same in regards to the Pineville races. I asked earlier and the response was river only as there will still be road construction? I find it hard to believe they could not build that road in a year...But, That was the report... And thank you for the picture I am now using as my avatar..one of my favorites Joe John

Thanks Joe John. I still aspire to be as good as Ms. Linda (Y44) in the art of taking action shots.

                    Hello NBRA and Anyone,

See the picture. What about the idea of both an East and West Series, then have a East / West Race "Shootout" ??

Does the idea sound interesting or feasable??

The reason is that the 2000 miles would only have to driven once per year.

Unless, of course you wanted to do more.

                    Best Regards To All,

But we don't have many races on the left side. Just the Montana Club hosting the race Trout Creek. I am sure they would like to sanction more on the left side, maybe the Montana club can help sanction some races out there ?

I might come to an East West shootout, but it would need to be a different race than the Nationals. How many west coast people would travel to a more centeral locaton ? My guess is not many. They already travel to our Nationals in IL, I am thinking more than that would be tough to do. I think this a great idea to hang onto for the near future once all the dust settles.

                        Thank You Dave,

Yes, this an idea that needs to be discussed for the future when the dust settles.

Dean it is a great idea but we need more race sites..Nobody in the west is interested in NBRA but we are having a lot of comunity support in Montana..It would be great to have a series with a final show down in some where like Colorado or Wyoming.. We just need more folks with the same ideas to work together to get it done.. Which means making waves with the establishment..

Send me PM's if you have some ideas.. As you know the move of USTS is not setting well as is..

                            East vs. West

Speaking on behalf of the Lone Star Outboard Racing Association, I would like to propose that our club host the East vs. West Shootout here in Texas. We have plenty of room for everyone and a great venue for boat racing. So in the near future if this does come to pass I officially put in a bid for this race and propose for it to be held on Labor Day each year. I propose Labor Day becuase it gives everyone an extra day of travel without using up precious vacation days.

Gardner that all depends on if Texas becomes its own country. I would hate to have to go get a pasport and visa to come to Jacksboro to race LOL

                                The Texas state

Well what we all should do is move to Texas. That way at least we would all be in one state. If we buy a condo complex then we could set the races no more then 100 miles from our centeral location. Of course the condo facility would have a huge hobby shop with each member allocated 2000 sq ft for his racing gear. Now that were all together we would also have a full machine shop staffed with highly skilled people.
