I know of one Naughty Pine that likes it LOUD & Fast !!! I wonder if they really knew what would happen when Richard started that 44 Modified Merc, inside. Was very cool for them to hooler at us to bring it and do it. Well, in appreciation of their sponsorship for that race, Richard sure gave them their money's worth !!! I bet a lot of headaches resulted... LOL !!!

      yank my chain

yal,,it did and my blood pressure is up. I like this forum to disscuss issue that faces us and those that can be changed to improve our sport. Without this forum we would be spending more time on the phone. It is no longer one club racing the way the club wants to do it, it's all of us(which is very small)makeing the sport better and fairer to all. I think most drivers do not want to weigh, but we keep on with the rules and even try to change them. In the end it is boat motor, prop and driver working together.

In most motorized racing sports it is not the rules that dictate who wins but basically who has the most money to work with and sometimes a little luck..

So who all is coming to the national meeting..We just got our airline tickets, rental car and room.
This has been a spendy year for us but we have had a ton of fun!!

              Texas Race

Unfortunately I could not make the Texas race, but my equipment did and I heard it was a great place to race and well run.Great Job guys!!!!!! Doc Miller lets not use this thread to banter which way you want other clubs to run their races.

                Thanks

Thanks everyone for the kind comments about our race and our site. Months of preparation went into this event. It's just too bad that we had to deal with the weather.

By enduring some less than perfect conditions, the NBRA drivers (and crews) once again proved that they are about racing 'on the water' and doing what ever it takes to get it all done.

Mike, as you well know, we have an interesting cast of characters in boat racing, and one of the most interesting is "Doc" Leonard Miller. He is a renowned botanist, has created his own species of rhododendron, and has (at his house) A Japanese garden. check out elkridgegarden.com I have taken the tour and it is amazing... Remember when you are looking at this, that this is his yard... Joe John

A big thanks to LSORA for the tedious job of putting on the first race at a new lake, I want to also thank the City of Jacksboro and Parks department for all of the work and support. I was impressed with all of the time and money spent to make us feel at home. Bailey and I enjoyed the trip, races and seeing everyone even in the rain and mud. V-25 Racing

I want to personally extend a Thank You to Kevin and Linda McAfee for sharing their hospitality, time, information and rain/sun canopy with me, my dad and brother from S. Carolina. We enjoy old Mercury outboards in the AOMCI and learned so much this weekend spending this time with you both and the NBRA group.

We look forward to seeing all of you again next year in Jacksboro.
