I know that there should be at least 3 C Runabouts in Jacksboro. (Braxton, Hawkins, and Joe John's rig.)

So what are some things to do/see in the Jacksboro area?

Hello Alex! Looking forward to meeting you in the future. I hope to meet you in person, versus ordering parts over the phone. Come join us at a race sometime if you can get away from your work. Jacksboro is a NBRA sanctioned race! We are getting ready for Quincy Ill. this weekend. Take care of yourself today and tommorrow. Best of luck Mike K. and Jan.

I've had a request to change things a little on the proposed schedule. It has been requested to loosen up some in the first flight to facilitate an engine change on a boat (AH to CSH). So to do that I've changed the proposed schedule so that the first flight will be
            AH
            DR
CR (new addition to schedule) (Super Stock class using the CMod engine)
            EH
The second flight will also be changed to
            CSH
            SEH
            25MH
            DH
The rest of the schedule will stay as previously provided unless more of the classes have enough boats to warrant inclusion into the schedule.

I've ammended the initial schedule posting to reflect these changes. Jack

                Motorhomes

Wanted to add that if you are planning to bring a motorhome to Jacksboro we only have four electrical hookups. So please let me know if you need electricity so that I can make the arrangements for you. These hookups will be first come first served. If your motorhome is self contained and you do not require electrcity the we will put you by the pits where there is plenty of room. Tent camping will be allowed in the pit area as well, thanks.

I plan on coming to Jackboro to watch this event. I am an avid go-fast boater with a B1 boat and motor that I toy with in the AOMCI. I am currently restoring a D Marchetti to go even faster. I have never been to a boat race event of this kind and am really looking forward to it. My only race boat experience was watching the Drag Boats on Marine Creek Lake in Fort Worth several years ago. My brother from S. Carolina is coming in as well just to watch this event. Any pointers for an observer to get the most out of this weekends event?

                          Welcome!

                          Doug S.

Welcome! Glad to have you join us. Look me up when you get there and I'll point you in the right direction. I will be at the ramp all weekend being Pit Boss. Also I see that you are local, we would welcome you to join our club and be a part of what is going on. If you can't find me look for Dennis Burke on the Judges stand, or Joe John Schulte at his race trailer T-44.

There has been limited discussion on who plans to run what at Jacksboro. Since this is the last race of the 2012 season we want all to have the opportunity to race. So far, based on comments, it looks like there will be enough CR to make a field and that class has been added to the tentative schedule, but little input on AR,BR,BH, and SER. It makes the drivers meeting less boring if we can avoid the schedule manipulation during the meeting and go in with an established schedule that works for all or at least most. If you would like to run the AR,BR,BH,or SER, it would be appreciated if you express your intentions here sooner rather than later. Jack
