    This IS an NBRA event

Mr. David, all the usual NBRA EH bunch should be here I assume. I know the Sumralls are planning on being there for sure. Uncle Randy will probably have his there. I'm sure Mason will be piloting the Nichols' rig. Van Weele from Lake Charles. Etc. You thinking about riding over?

Yes Alex, this is an NBRA sanctioned event. Come on down. It would be only about a 25 hour drive. Jack

Yes, I'm thinking seriously about racing this one since I am off that weekend (a race weekend and a weekend off are finally lining up for me!) and that race isn't all that far (about 5 hours or a little more). I haven't been in a hydro in 5 years. I think that I'd kind of like to go for a ride if I can line up some pit help. I'll be making the trip alone with just a boat and motor in the back of the truck.

I've already e-mailed Patrick Gleason about getting a zipper extension for my life jacket (it shrunk since the last time I wore it )...

I e-mailed Ralph, Jason, and Jeromy earlier this afternoon to see if any of them are going.

EDIT: Just received reply from Jason. They are planning on going.

Alex, it is an NBRA event ... a really good venue pursued and selected by the Texas club. Would make an excellent race for a DownEaster!!!

Awesome!!! I hope that you can make it over for this one. It's been too long since seeing you out on the water. Or... well, seeing you at ALL for that matter! Haha.

We are going to have a fun invitational race open to the winners of each hydro class that weekend...this will be a staggered start with the slowest class having a head start and the fastest trying to run 'em down!!! We used to do this alot in inboards and it is a BLAST!!! Great water, Great town, and a heckuva lot of fun!!! An awesome way to finish the season!!

                          Hi David,

We will help with your pit work and I'm sure all the other NBRA folks will lend a hand.

                            Plenty

There should plenty of boats in all the classes. I have yet to be to an NBRA event this year that has not had pretty full fields. Maybe a couple here and there, but for the most part there has been a bunch, especially in the 4 Cyl hydro and runabout classes. E Hydro is not one to wonder if there will be enough boats. Well, unless attrition takes it toll as it does now & again. hehehe.

See you there. (barring any unforeseen circumstances)
