  • NBRA drivers at the Lucas Oil test and tune session today - Wheatland, MO

NBRA hosted a test and tune at the Lucas Oil site in Wheatland, MO this weekend. The turnout was excellent and the reviews have been great.

Photo and Video from today's test session at the new lake at the Lucas Oil Speedway in the following posts.

Thanks to Dan for letting my hijack his thread and post it to the front page! This looks like a great course with all the amenities that any boat racer could want. It will be great to read the review of the folks that attended. A lot of hard work went into securing this course and the support of Lucas Oil. Thank you to all the folks who worked tirelessly to get this to happen.

We will be looking forward to future events at the site.

      Can't play the video

Need some help from the pc guru's out there. When I try to play the video I get a message that I need to upgrade to the newest version of Adobe Flashplayer but when I select the 'install Adobe' button nothing happens. I get this on both my desktop pc and my laptop.

Any ideas how I can resolve this?

Keep in mind that once you leave HydroRacer.Net and a few other powerboat related web sites the average lay person has no idea what a Stock Outboard, Modified or PRO racing boat is.

I know its hard to believe in 2012 most people are still not aware of what powerboat racing is but its a fact.

Mike its wide enough, we use to have a race here in region 4 in a small town called Denton Maryland. Its the smallest race course in the country and we ran everything from Stock Outboards to Pro boats. We even ran Mod VP and Champ Boat at Denton back in the day.

The course was so small you could throw a rock from one side to the other.

I took this photo from the opposite side of the course, you can see how close the other side is :-)

I just figured two lanes for drag boat racing is not much We race on one course where the two pin turn has bouys spaced about 60 feet apart but the first turn has three bouys and is much bigger at about 120 feet.

I raced many places where a one bouy turn was the norm, Seaisle City N.J, Ventnor N.J. Kirkwood N.Y. just to name a few. Low tide it really got tight...lol

I agree. That's what I was pointing out. Exposure at an established race track like this is good. To bad there not a track like that in every region.

The leaders of APBA never had a vision like this and still don't. Think about how NASCAR started it was also just a back woods good old boy sport until Bill France Senior had a vision and followed through with it.

NBRA is on a mission to make things happen plain and simple.

I think more people knew about outboard hydros 40 - 50 years ago than know about them today.
