Boyd, It's going to be a great year with no conflicting race dates. Any chance NWC & NBRA will accept AOF and/or APBA memberships? I know you guys want the pro's to run with you, but you got to remember every Pro boat in this area except 2 (you know the ones I'm talking about) are all AOF and/or APBA members. Not everyone can do a weekend membership like we have done in the past. Any thoughts? How about prize money instead of trophies?

Same deal as Moses Lake last year, unless, someone messes up the witches pot of brew! Didnt you pay 25.00? Remember, it will be tit for tat with us at Newport, I believe. I heard talk of a pro-series with a pot of gold or green at the end! At least that's what I'd like to see where it doesnt matter who's banner ya run under, the high point survivor takes the pot within the Northwest. Something to be said about the NW pro boats and now the ONCB kind of running away from the standard boat race format and doing their own deal! It's about time! IF YOU KNOW WHAT i MEAN. Oh by the way, I have nothing to do with trophies or prizes, that's our new go to guy Charles! Heck, I'm even done beating the bush for our guys.....I ralleyed over 600 bucks of merchandise for Moses and I didnt hear one thankyou! It's someone elses turn! I'd like to race someday.

You pro guys are going to have to work that out, maybe run a qualifying heat to determine who races who like we inboards do. I heard size doesnt matter kevin! It's the size of the wallet! For us that's true..........The A class pays the same as the B class and so on.....its the racing that matters to us. The closer you can get the more we like it...and the spectators burn film up! What a concept: its called a closeup....pushing away nowwwww

Tit for tat I'm afraid not, With Stateline being an AOF club, SLORA accepts NBRA and APBA membership cards, whereas NBRA/NWC does not accept AOF or APBA cards. So it would be nice to figure out a way for NWC/NBRA to accept all cards. Maybe then more AOF/APBAer's might come play with you.

I heard talk of a pro-series with a pot of gold or green at the end! At least that's what I'd like to see where it doesnt matter who's banner ya run under, the high point survivor takes the pot within the Northwest. Something to be said about the NW pro boats
A pro series could be a good idea, however you would need to run different classes (350,500,700, etc) if money is to be involved. Hopefully the money will help change peoples minds about running NBRA which does not have a Pro Catagory or have points for year end, whereas APBA and AOF does. And many people focus on points and/or record events.

p.s. NWC did this a few years ago on the 4th of July weekend @ Ione. They ran the the pro class under an AOF sanction, and all other outboard and inboard classess under NBRA. It worked great. I would like to see it happen again. I think if the Pro Series was under AOF or APBA you would get more drivers on the beach.

I ralleyed over 600 bucks of merchandise for Moses and I didnt hear one thankyou! It's someone elses turn!
Putting races togethor, getting sponsors, raising prize money, whatever it may be unfortunately is a thankless job and a tough one at that. There are tons of people that work very hard day in and day out to put on races for us the racers that there efforts go unnoticed. Hope your not burned out on racing. Thank you from me.

I believe 2005 will be better than 2004 in our area. It's a good start by not having conflicting race dates. However, it is still going to be tough when we have three national governing bodies, and a handful of boats to go around. Some people choose not to run one organization or another, may not want to travel as far as others, or might not have a class with one, or can't afford to run more than one or two. Therefore this spreads boats out. It's sad but true.

I guess you know by now, the rumor was true but you had the wrong club joining!? I'm sure Northwest Water Competition will stay with NBRA. NBRA is a great bunch! See you at Banks? Blondie

Not sure how that happened since it came from your leaders mouth!

Banks Lake, Not sure if I'll be there or not. It's not real fun being the only pro boat, and running against D stocks, and FE's when they show. Might come and pull rope though.

p.s. Guess I could bring my new c-mod version 7.3 and let Josh Harnack test it and break it in for Moses.

                            350CCH Vs FEH

                            Mike,

How much faster is the 350 than the FEH's out there ? I would think punch would be a big factor in those two animals. 350 is low punch vs torque monsters ?

dave, these two cylinder 350's we're running punch or out punch almost anything. there's quite a difference in the two classes, really, we're doing well with the 350's in the 500 class. kevin

                                WORD!

Dave, there are some fast fe's out here, but everything is progressing in the fact that with the newer technology available, all classess are gaining good ground. There have been big advancements in the PRO catagory in the last few years with the availability of new motors/parts etc.
