John Mathews won the d-mod with a merc 40 that was running really well . My hotsu held him off on the second heat til the last lap i got lazy and let him slip inside me and out accelerate me down the back streach. Close fast clean racing . Congrats to the Mathews Race team !!!

Thanks so much Vernon. That really means a lot coming from you. I appreciate the lane in the turn. Anyone else could have slammed the door on me. But you kept nice and clean for my first time in D with you boys. I'm sure things will only get tougher from here in the class. But it sure was fun racing ya in it for the first time. I have some decent video of that 2nd heat. Once I get my camera back I'll try and get it on YouTube and posted on here for ya. Sure was a fun race. Thanks for all the 4 cylinder help on the weekend as well. Me and Pops are more appreciative then I think you could ever know. Y'all sure got him hooked on Capt. He went out and bought a nice big bottle for our house now. Lol.

Really nice to have a long chute to adjust your starts . Try your best to come to Garnett Ks , Thunderfest June 26-27th . I might break out my 40 merc . Wish we could run together more often .

Thanks a lot Mr. Jeff. All the credit goes to my pops and Uncle Sonny with the Merc. That's been their baby for the last few years. For the most part I'm mechanically challenged. I just so happen to be idiotic enough to drive like hell behind the wheel. But I guess that goes with the old saying of being young and dumb haha. The tech stuff will come to me in time. As for now. Focus is driving these fast rigs as good as I can for Pops.

Vernon. Next race we are all at. We got to get out Capt stance going on all along the bank. Haha. I wanna try to get a bunch of people to do it. Then we can email the photo to the company. And who knows. Maybe they would become a sponser of a race somewhere? High hopes again here lol.
