As most of you know Jeff Lake (V35) suffered a heart attack Sat night. When we went to the er we both believed that they would be telling us that he had pnemonia and sending us home with meds. as it turned out they said no heart attack. When heart doctor came in on sunday it was decided to do a cath and see what the problem was (family history and the fact that our brother died at 35 unexpectantly, and Jeff is 36) they discovered that he had 5 blockages. ranging from 90% to 60%. It was decided to do 4 stents and watch the other. So he received 3 on the right and 1 on the left. Had he been older they would have done a bypass, the doctors reasoning was that most bypasses only last 10 years and we would be looking at more down the road and each time it being more risky and places to graph would decrease each time. Doctor says he had someone watching over him as he could have had a major attack at anytime and been gone. Jeff done well through it all and is now home recovering. He will start cardiac rehab next week and is learning how to eat and exercise. Please say prayers for him and thank you to all that have called. In a few days he promises to try and get back with each of you and talk to you himself. If you would like to send cards or notes you may send them to 633 Jefferson Quincy, IL. 62301 and I will add a phone number in a few days that you may call to talk with him. Cindy
