    Race Course

Think of Dayton Ohio on steroids. The course is similar in design, it can be made either a real short course or a very long course, there is enough room to accomodate any size course you wish to run, and it is not prone to be blown out. It can happen as any race course can, but the way the lake is situated it is not as easy to accomplish. Plenty of room to mill away from the course if you wish and get a big run at the clock, or not, but there is plenty of room.

My best guess is this course will be of a typical Mod course, medium. No more than a mile. When Jack Stots set the course he made it exactly one mile I believe, and Jack sets a nice course. With the tow money your gas can just about be paid for ! How cool is that ! And then a week later you might get a big fat paycheck you could use on a new prop, who knows. I know the $300.00 tow money truly made me decide to attend, it makes the racing much more affordable. We have been using the camper at the closer races, but two vehicles at a race is not practicle any longer, and now they went and made this race dowright affordable for us a little further away.

Thanks Alan for all your hard work on this 1st class race site.

We have an oval two -3 pin turn course 3/4 to 1 mile long with a long chute and large milling area. We pit off of a ramp and small beach next to the ramp and the pit is a rock parking lot next to ramp. Lake is well protected with 5mph pleasure boat rectriction. The only boats are a few pontoons and jons that are spectators

I want everybody to be clear on the tow money. Not everybody that comes is going to get $300.00. That is the max amount that you can get. The amount you will receive is figured on the total miles everyone has driven divided into the $2500.00 this will give you how much you will receive per mile not to exceed $300.00. I hope this is clear not everybody that shows will get $300.00. Then there is $2500.00 prize money on top of this.

I am thinking on running Hot-Rods AMR and BMR. What are the rules and what other engines are used in each class. I am not going to come if i have to race my 10ft A/B against a field of C runabouts!!! It is not safe, been there, done that, to many close calls!!!!

Testing will be Noon-5:00 on Friday provided you have signed the release and the course is set, The ambulance will be there at Noon. The City permit is for the speed restriction to be lifted at this time and 7:00 AM on Friday is when the parking lot and ramp is ours to set up. The City Council also requested that no engines be fired until 9:00 on Friday and Saturday. Even though I don't remember this happening but we had a complaint at a council meeting of starting engines last year at 7:00 or 8:00. We will test on Saturday from 9:30 until the drivers meeting around 11:00. Sunday there will no AM testing and no firing motors until noon. Racing will start at 1:00 both days. That be the rules!!
