        Then that must be a good sign? I was told of a lot of different makes of pistons such as Merc, Wisco, Sierra, Vertex but had not heard Pro-V

            Mike,

            Sounds like you have it covered. Rods should be easy to come by. It is rare to find a burnt piston stocker with a bent rod. Most of the ones in the junkyards have decent rods. If you really run into trouble, let me know, I will see what I can dig up.

            All the names you mentioned offer cheaper than original pistons. I get mine rather locally from a racers marina. Dealer cost is not a ton of savings over retail, but every bit helps !
