Cambridge Classic will run for 99th year

CAMBRIDGE MARYLAND The 99th Cambridge Classic Power Boat Regatta will be held this weekend, July 25 and 26, with around 60 racing teams expected to compete. Run on the Choptank River at Great Marsh Park, the event has free admission and plenty of parking.

Saturday's racing should begin around 11 a.m. and at noon Sunday, lasting until around 5 p.m. each day. Pits are open, allowing fans to get a close look at the boats and to talk with the crews.

70 Boats Registered

70 boats are registered to race today, announced at the drivers meeting. This is a good turnout.This is the divisionals for flat bottom classes. Racing to start "as close to noon" as possible.May not be able to post any results. I have't found any wireless and typing on this BlackBerry hurts my fingers. Hot and sunny here but the wind seems to be picking up.

The best part of my trip today was on the way home ahh... the world famous Maryland blue crab... "insert droll sound here" of course I got the jumbo I can hardly move right now
