MY thoughts on the Mini Most

Should not use the word idiotic and APBA in the same sentence going from thousands of members to now a hand full and blaming it on everything but our selfs is not exactily nonidiotic (maybe new word here??Kristi??)
And absolutely never speak in absolutes.
Mini Most has had it's revelincy and on LI it was something called soap box,some racers like Pete Helsten,Jack Gosman,Jim Gorey believe some Scopiniches as well started with these types of boats. There were others and I even played around with them some at the age of 11 it would be nice if kids played with them today dealers are not intrested they believe no profit here (this could be debated for hours).

Glad you recognize were in a coffin and not nailed "west systemed" ya need alot of MEK to open this coffin and yea MINI MOST is to slow its not a racing class but a kids class whats the difference kids classes aren't fast anyway(not saying we should race mini most here) But Jessss someone do something
to help growth(and yea I'm trying things all the time) to help with APBA's ##

Dan, do you really oppose fathers who want to spend quality time with their pre-teen kids or reaching out to groups such as the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts in an attempt to introduce them to boat racing through a soap box derby on water concept? Are you against this concept or is it you are against scouting or father, son bonding time? You don't hate children do you? :P

for your information I have a five year old little girl that is my world and my entire life revolves around making sure she is happy and provided for so no I do not hate children I am a proud father and a huge advocate of protecting and caring for our children.

Back to the topic at hand which clearly we stand divided on like Republicans and Democrats. It appears that some of you just don't get it, you don't promote a sport using backwards thinking! you guys talk about this MiniMost project like little old men sitting in rocking chairs and dreaming of the good old days when you walked down that dirt road on the farm with little Bobby and his fishing pole.

Lets be real that was a simpler time and yes the idea was a good one 50 years ago when Ward and June Cleaver would take little Johny out for a Sunday ride and if Johny was a good boy they would treat him to a nickel bottle of pop.

This is 2007! our young folks are flying jet planes for uncle Sam at speeds that break the sound barrier! wake up people its an era that is long!

That signature was sarcasm, the 25 class, along with D and B have been hurting (dead) for a long time. Not really champ with 5 boats, winner would be proper

I side with Dan on this one, the minimost has been an obsolete design many years ago, as for the B&S, well were not mowing grass!

now Mike, you should not say **** about the D class now, as it is one of the largest in Reg10 now.

I also agree, the MINIMOST has no place in racing...............just something to play with at your cottage........

What has APBA got to offer NBRA? A Zillion classes. More expense, Politics. No thanks.

IMO, in order for boat racing to grow we need strength in numbers. Having 3 (+) sanctioning bodies with our numbers so small is hurting boat racing, AOF, NBRA both need to merge into APBA (and ALL other forms of boat racing Champ, Offshore, Unlimited...need to go APBA also). Unless this happens we will die a slow death even with new equipment available. With boat racing being so fragmented, we're hurting ourselves.

As for the minimost or a B&S engine for boat racing, well that's why you are AOF, APBA would never entertain such an idiotic thought.

I had a lot of respect for you before you made this post, unfortunately its all gone out the window. I will not back down from my original post no matter how many names you call me or slander me in public. Trust me I have developed a very thick skin over the last few years so the little jabs about "how many people have I brought into the sport" roll off me like water.

I will say it again and stand firm behind it, its a waste of time! its all been done before!
