    Tom,
According to the posts here we have at least 4 DMR coming. Can you get those PRO guys to post or at least pre-register with Linda?

    Thanks

              Friday night registration

We will be doing early registration Friday night in the lobby of the Ramada inn. We need everyone to try and register Friday night so we can start early Sat and we will also start early Sun.
I have had a lot of calls today from more people coming to Jesup looks like a great turn out so far, the motel still has rooms and there are 2 more motels next door if the Ramada fills up I will post the phone numbers of the Holiday Inn Express and the Jameson INN. Do not stay anywhere other than these 3 motels!
I heard from a reliable source that the "Legend" himself is coming (that is Eric Vanover for the few who didn't know) so we will have a big field of DMH and DMR.
Also heard the Brills are coming.

I spoke with Dave Mitchell in Raleigh, since UGA screwed up and lost to TN he was talking about going. That is the weekend of the GA/ FL game. We need to work on Dave Weaver!!!

....I had an engine to race!! The mighty VRP crank is locked tight and I do not have parts (not that I know how to rebuild a crank anyway).

                      David,

I thought that modern pro engines were so reliable unlike like the old
                      c-service you make fun of?

First time I have seen Dave not be able to race due to mechanical reasons. He has one of the most reliable engines out there.

When your engine starts and finishes all but one of forty heats in a season, it is not unusual to have a mechanical break down. See there is a lot of stress created on a racing engine while it turns 13,000 to 14,000 RPM's over 5 miles. This is incresed when your boat repeteadly gets airborne in rough turns.

Now, I have a lot of respect for the old c-service engines and even more the racing C antiques. They laid the ground work for the PRO division. But, they do not exactly embody the principals of pushing the envelope, creativity, seeking a better mouse-trap, etc.

I reserve the right to make fun of all boat racers, because that is my personality and we are one of the most fun and quirkiest group of people that you would ever hope to know. And 9 out 10 can laugh at themselves!!

                              Dave,

I am glad you have a sense of humor because this is what I was after. I am sorry you puked an engine. That really is tough. I'd love to see you run at Jesup.

I know we kneelers needle each other back and forth but I have to say, a full field of pro's is an awsome sight. I wish the catagories would do more racing together.

If I wasn't chicken of crashing at 90mph, I would join in the fun too. So, I'll stick with my 70mph max rule.
