Lock Haven at noon
I do not have a wireless laptop but looking into upgrading mine, will report in future at any race I go to with when I get to that stage. As for now, just talked to husband Jack who is there with grandson Jonathan. Jack said weather great, wind is down, but water (as usual) roughened up a lot by the racing boats. First heat out was DSH, then a class he couldn't recall, then ASH. Only info I got was that the grandson got a late start, ended up in the slop and decided to pull in due to the roughness. Let's see how he does in AXSH which is in the third set. Experience is the best teacher as we all know. Will report more as I get it...Joan

More info from the pits via Jon Brewster (cell call)
Jon just got a call from son Jonathan in the pits at Lock Haven. Jeff Brewster just won 25ssH (8 boats). There were 178 entries as reported at the driver's meeting...per Jack and Jonathan in separate calls. Grandson didn't run second heat, problem with equipment. They are just running JSH at 1:50 pm; BSR ran earlier in first set after DSH...no results yet. I will call pits after I return from lunch at nearby Acapulco Mexican Restaurant with Jon and baby daughter Ella. Joan

lock haven
Lock Haven racing ended at 6:30 p.m. after just completing 3 of the 4 sets. 44 heats of racing today...as for race results I have nothing (much to ddh's disappointment). Grandson Jonathan races in the last set (not 3rd as previously reported) so he will race in 4th set first thing tomorrow).
Just spoke to Jack Brewster at 9:15 pm...he said the most exciting race today was CSH in which there were 3 eliminations. They took the first 4 boats of each heat, and in the finals Joe Silvestri, Shannon Bowman and Charlie Gonyea ran a super race. Shannon finally won overall, this race definitely had them ALL on their feet. Good job Shannon.
Cooler bob time in the background at 9:15 p.m.
Jack said that in 20ssH they had quite a time. Had to restart one heat, some guys dumped but nobody hurt that he knew of. Jack didn't know who finally won this race.
Abby Pond still has arm in cast from West Coast Stock Nationals. As you all probably know someone else flipped and she dumped trying to miss them and suffered a broken arm, but she is doing fine. What a trooper...
Well guys and gals, that's all we have from the Brewster reporting station for now. I report as much as I can get, what do the rest of you have to tell us? HMMMMM, ddh??
By the way, water was smooth all day (unless boats riled it up) and weather out there is wonderful. Sounds like everyone out there is having a lot of fun.
If you have ever refereed a boat race you know what a long day 44 heats is.
Tomorrow will also be a long day.
If i get more info I will report it...Joan Brewster

last post tonight on lock haven
Hi there, just called Jack in the pits, all going great there. Some young female from the Bowman crew just won the cooler bobbing contest.
Jack said Joe Silvestri got 2nd in CSH today behind Shannon. Charlie Gonyea picked up a hard fought 3rd. Nice race you guys.
Jesse Ward from TRORA won 20ssH, he's been a source to be reckoned with in these parts this season. He just gets better and better and better. Jack tells me George Luce won FER. Greg Lyons won ASR and 25ssR.
That's all for tonight folks...
