DSR @ Grass Lake

Ok folks who is planning on running DSR at Grass Lake this year?

I plan to be there. Who else?

If there are any D runabouts planning on going to grass lake, let me know ASAP... It looks like most of them have backed out and therefore the last few of us won't be coming either. They've all decided to come to Big Rapids next weekend.

It's a shame when a club and guys like Mike Afoulter go to the trouble to get the marathons put on the schedule and it doesn't get supported by the racers. If anything happens at Big Rapids and say only one day gets run or not enough boats . Nick Ladd now does not qualify for a national high point due to not enough races in. You need 3. I know from our club meetings we have debated on not running a marathon as our short coarse schedule is already a long day. We could start earlier on Sunday so we could go home at a decent hour if we had that hour or so we use to run you marathoners. And I have seen the marathon nearly canceled at Big rapids on Sunday due to everyone heading home early. If you signed up for the marathon series the entries is what helps Mike subsidize the cost of the prizes. Lets get it together and help support what you all love to do. I myself have been to 7 races this year and only took my trailer 2 times. Palled up with other racers to save money,split gas cost, shared lodging and cost. Just my thoughts Mikey

DSR at Grass Lake

Well I don't understand why we cannot get it together for this Race........I was looking forward to racing at Grass Lake but have been forced out the past two years. I was very disappointed to get that call from Josh this morning.

No DSR at Grass Lake?

I understand race conflicts. However, as Commodore of MHRA I have demanded the running of the FULL Stock Outboard scheduleat all of our races. Others in the club think we should consider dropping poorly attended Stock classes and replacing them with Mod classes. I reported on this after Constantine, MI where we had no DSR.

You are making it very hard for me to keep DSR on the schedule.

Here is the deal. I am the race director at Hillsdale and we would love for you to try to race at Grass Lake but if it does not work out do not bag the weekend. What if it rains at BR or gas prices jump to $4.25?

Any DSR is welcome and encouraged to race DMR with us at Hillsdale. If you get to Grass Lake and you can not find 4 boats come to Hillsdale. We will let you registered late. I am going to take some heat from the ladies for this but I am willing to extend the invite.

PS. If you beat my DMR in your DSR you buy dinner.

You all should be shot and hanged by your toe nails, you get a bunch of D's to commit then back out. It's a wonder why the class is going down the toilet, your cutting your own throat's. Three D's would be better than none. You should think seriousley about your actions boy's, your showing very self centered tendancies, it may come back to bite you.
