Green light. The 66R/Larry Oberto/Karelson built 25ss hydro is available for Nationals to a NW driver who would like to race at Moses Lake. The bold 25ssh competitor would have to come pick up the boat, and also bolt on the powerhead. I also have a nice prop, and if you’re really bold, a really fast high rake cleaver.
And…. don’t give that boat such a bad time you guys. It actually has a 73 inch afterplane. Of course, it does have a tunnel and a hook and a twist and a 33 inch airtrap and………….
As for the 25ss class, if APBA says it’s a legal class (no matter how ridiculous) then it is, and if someone would like to race that class, then they can.
I also have an old boat that has the transom cut for a 25ss but no motor. I would only recommend this boat as “making a start”.
Kyle-
I would not use that count as Del and Joey Z basically had most of those entries, and neither of them will be there, nor will there rigs. There were 8 registered but only 7 made the call in 2003.
There probably isn't one of us east coast 25 hydro guys that are not wishing we could be there!
I have not heard of any of us that are headed your way.
Just too far for so many of us. If you look at the average 25ssh driver registered, they are guys with young families.
The thought of all my kids in a van for four days out and four back answered my question real quick
Hopefully, you all will find enough to race.
Start saving for Whitney Pt next year and we can all race for the championship!
