I have 4 gallons of salsa fermenting as we speak. But salsa ,a meal it does not make! Come on folks we need some more folks to belly up. Boat racers need a lot of grubb. While quality does matter, boat racers are not picky! The folks from PA could bless us with some surprises. There are some good things to eat over there.

                  Taste of the Regions

                  Brian,

Is this event going to be at the Jennings Cabin Friday night, or is this a separate thing? If it is, please let me know where this is going to be held. Seems there is another set of meal plans running around between a few of us ladies, and I'd like to be sure I'm in sync with what's going on. Thanks!

                    Friday night at the races.

I'll answer for Brian, our social events coordinator, because he is out in the shop, up to his 'substantial' elbows in West System. The Taste of the Regions is an "official" Mod Nationals social event. It will be held on Friday evening at our banquet tent adjacent to, (but just outside), the Dillon State Park. Adult refreshments may be consumed there. This event is hosted by IOA and each Region challenges the others to provide some regional delicacy for about 30 people. It is a buffet, smorgasbord and great food. It will be followed by our Mod Nats. "auction". We have dozens of racing related items that will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. For example, many of our sponsors choose to provide their racing products or services in lieu of a cash donation for the Mod Nationals and NAC's. I know that we have propeller certificates from Dewald, Brinkman, and Pinner to auction. Win the bid on the prop and they will build it to your specification. Brown Tool, "TJ" Yamato's, Lifeline, and numerous others (including racing teams) are donating items. This will be a great evening, Brian WIlliams (10-S) is our creative and entertaining auctioneer. Don't miss this entire Friday evening event. Mike Marshall, Race Director
