I'm not making the trip all the way from Austin. We've been in Columbus, Ohio for the last month and hitting as many races as I could. Yes, the old person sun shade will be set up. Have to take care of you old folks! John, i've sent a private message so will see you in the pits. Be there on Friday and plan to camp. Wife not coming so I'm on my own. Really looking forward to it. Sunday evening will head East and end up at our Daughter's house in Danville, PA until the next Friday when I go over to Cruwensville. See you all at Waterford. Jack

              Wish I could

I miss this race course, still my favorite track for Tri-Ovals.

Jack, If you sleep in your truck make sure you face the window towards the pits.... you might get a good show. Joe S, Jerry B and I had a great show one year. It should really perk you up for the next days races.

Beautiful park as well..... and you HAVE to order some of the fries with gravy on them at the little food stand, they are the best. The people are fairly friendly as well, just make sure you get there Friday in the daylight, as it is not easy to find in the dark. In the great North it gets dark and the street signs are harder to read, at least for me they are.

Wish I was making the trip now.... dangit. Lots of FEH... Should have skipped Constantine and went here instead.

Wish I could make it this year but summer courses have gotten in the way. The course is one of the best tri-ovals and some great racing is held here. The best thing about this course is that you can't get blow out. Last year it blew hard on Sunday and we just had to be cautious, no real white caps. Here's a pic from Sunday last year, in the area on the course that is most exposed to the wind.

                        Steve,
ie, us being careful. I didn't want to post the picture in case Joe's ego would grow but I think the water conditions demonstrate how this course is almost impossible to be blown out, just be cautious with 20+ mph winds. The course is similar to how Carleton Place was a couple of weeks ago... when it gets very windy be careful going over the start/finish-line.

According to the local weather... wind will be no issue anyway Suppose to be a high of about 6 mph.

Feel free to bring you ez-ups and awnings, haha!

Everyone have a safe drive down, and a safe fun racing weekend.

I wish I could be there to join you all. The race course is a great one.

If someone could, keep us that couldn't make it informed.

                            Thanks
