Stock Outboard is all about a level playing field.

True parity is one motor per class.

It's RACING, not just another boat ride!

Boat racing just won't be the same without him. Especially on the judge's stand. My deepest condolences to the Allen family.

I too, can not believe Don is no longer with us. It was always a joy to see him and talk with him at the races. Don did so much for boat racing that I can not begin to image how long that list would be. Rest in Peace.

            Good bye, Don Allen

I don't even know what to say at this point. Boatracing has lost one of its true champions. May our Lord comfort the Allen family and grant Don eternal paradise. Ed Hearn.

I am deeply sorry to hear this news. I really liked Don as did my entire family. My father always said he was a good man and he was right.

Don always had a calming effect on all of us, especially when tragedy struck at the Nationals. Also, just hearing Don's voice over the PA as he was calling races was something you just can't describe.

Our deepest condolences to the Allens,

Our deepest condolences go out to the Allen family. We was so shocked to hear of Don's passing. There are no words that can describe what a great man he was. Sometimes he was demanding but he always knew what was in the best for the boat racing families. God speed Don!

                  Don Allen Sr.

It's a sad day in boat racing. Don did alot for Stock Outboard. I can remember alot of J drivers getting started with his help. Our prayers and thoughts go out to his family.

                        A Great Understanding

Don Allen, Sr. said to me over a decade ago when we were arguing about something: "Edward: you have to remember that everyone in this Association believes that they are trying to do what is best for boat racing. They're not all correct. But they're trying."

I have never forgotten that. Farewell, my friend. Edward.

One of the memories of Don that stands out the most for me was in Ft. Lauderdale. I was next for giving my speech and I was SO nervous. But when I came up and stood next to Don, waiting for Jay to finish, being in his presence made me feel calm and reassured. I think he had that affect on most people. He was truly a person I looked up to. I wish the the whole Allen family my best wishes through this.
