    I'm not sure but

I remember racing 5 lap heats back in 79-83. Not sure how we got to three laps other than maybe we had alot of classes back then and someone thought 3 laps would shorten the day. We raced four lap records on 3/4 mile coarse at Dayton. I do not think there is a rule that says three lap heats, it is just a matter of saying what you are going to race on the santion, coarse sise and laps, not sure you are even held to that once you start the weekend. The other thing is more than three laps on a big coarse and it's follow the leader, on a smaller coarse you seem to get boats staying some what grouped. Of coarse I may be totaly wrong.

      my thought

Our days now are long enough......I don't think this should even be a consideration until classes are cut down

        This is where I'm going....................

Reduce classes and offer more water time. Put this into place and see how marketable our program is to prospective members.

3 laps and 5-8 hours on a Saturday is a tough sell.

I believe the Steering Committee has this mind, the problem we have is we continue to rely on filling the program with classes from other catagories. No offense guys but I think SO can once again live on its own.

If the concern is entry fees I bet guys/girls would pay more if they were given say 3 heats. They typically spend the money anyway becasue they run 2,3, even 4 classes to get water time.

          Captain America?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought Captain America was a Marvel comicbook hero from the 1940's? Did Matt's dad write the comic or something?

You are a spunky one arn't you. A Captain in our world must be appointed by an Admiral. Ask RacerX, he may be close to the truth on this mystery.

              Oh boy...

The bull malarky is getting deep... And besides, only a comic book hero would drive a pink and white boat!

                Eye Doctor......................

                Greg,
Val & my boats are 'PURPLE' and white not pink. You must be going color blind. The only thing pink i recall is the sweater Heather wrapes around the Stitsu. Soon she will have you in a matching outfit and driving a Ford. Beware!

Who is this RacerX you speak of? The only one I know of is the one from the SpeedRacer cartoons-which rocked by the way!

Maybe this is just something from before my time.....

Yes, for a short time, but...

Purple is a cool color, it was actually the color of royalty in the old days. Sorry Matt, I thought you were sporting the 'pretty in pink' theme! Watch those ankles this summer, Lexi the Leathal has you in her sights! And as for the Ford thing, the next one will be wearing a blue oval on the grill, I'm going to make the jump... To the gentleman asking who RACERX is, he is a wild spider monkey jacked up on Mt. Dew who resides in the swamps of Florida, a notorious creature that should be feared! GL

What you should fear is Mike's plans to attend the region 3 banquet. Watch out folks!

Should be able to get those Fords cheap after last years posted losses. You'll all be driving a Toyota soon enough.
