It is just an idea at this stage and I am open to ideas or a dose of reality. I am floating it to see what type of interest is out there. If there is an interest, then I will try to hunt down sponsorship. How does it work up north?
There is always a buzz about the Dash for Cash up north and the 2 man CSR. It would be nice to try something different at Ocoee if others are interested.

It's not a bad idea. Personally I don't like the Lemans start. Of course my opinion is purely selfish as it takes a few pulls to get my 102 of the beach. With that being said it wouldn’t prevent me from participating.

We could call it the Florida Yamato Challenge as opposed to Dash for Cash since Lockhaven is famous for the Dash.

You should be all for a Lemans start. You wouldn't jump the gun!Ryan Runne

I like that name. You can make this something unique, that can be done every year. I wouldn't take a lack of response as a lack of interest. If you put on a money race, people will run in it. I also like your idea of doing it as a Yamato Challenge, as opposed to just CSH, this will get a lot of boats out there. Now I'm thinking of something that is even a little further off the beaten path here. Something like a short Hydro marathon. Get a Special Event in the sanction for it, and do like an 8 lap deal, with up no boat limit. It would be pretty wild to have 20 C and 20ssHs racing off of the beach for the first turn!!Ryan Runne

Hydro Marathon
We do something like the hydro marathon Ryan Mentioned at the races on Long Island. We do a Grand Prix. We do 12 laps with a lemans start and a driver change at the 6th lap. We used to run "A" Hydros & "C" Hydros together. To make up the difference The A's did not have to pit. It made it pretty even. Due to lack of "A" Hydros we just have C's. We do the same with the Runabout Classes. Lots of Fun!!!

It's official, I'm no longer a fan of Runne Racing "South". Runne Racing "North" is a kinder gentler bunch.
