Why is there not a PRO starter class for the runabouts?

I remember many years ago when they used the Y-80 as both a hydro and runabout starter class. I don't remember what it was called but I do remember Pete Nydhal running it.

A CSR with the same basic rules as the OSY hydro could be cool.

I thought that was what 125CCR was supposed to be ...

      Seriously???

Tim: I know you well enough to know that you are totally serious in your inquiry here. If I had posted this, however, I would be accused of trying to start something.

What's wrong with running C Mod R or 25SSR? I see no need to have another class for the Yamatos to run in when there already exist classes to run this configuration of outfit. Ed.

Tim, I hope you do not think OSY should be a starter class............I sure DO NOT! That is a whole nother can of worms that has already been opened and thrashed on though.

          Ed,

I agree with you. I was only talking about title series stuff. There are 3 USTS races in my backyard and I have nothing to play with. I feel left out. I think it would be cool to run a OSYR at Depue. The OSYH is a great show. I think last year they had 3 elims.

A 125R would be neat, but my rear end is too heavy!

              Legal?

I'm not 100 percent sure, but arn't runnabouts legal hydros in pro? I think you can run a runnabout in a hydro pro class.

Stock Outboard is all about a level playing field.

True parity is one motor per class.

You have a legal 500 runabout if you wiss to race at Depue.

What we have here is a failure to communicate!

My question was not understood. I'll try again. At USTS events the usually run OSY 400 hydro. Why does the USTS not run OSY 400 R?

And no David, I do not want to run with the 500's.

Me's think Peanut has the best answer and no thanks about the hydro.

OSY 400 R is not a class. The class does not exist.

I'll try for the last time.

I know the the USTS does not run OSY R. I know it is not a class. It is not a class anywhere. It's not a class in Bulgaria.

Whis is it not considered for a class in the pro catagory?

Bill has a good point. The USTS only runs APBA PRO classes that actually exist. Beyond that, the USTS only runs OSY400 at select races (2-3 this year) and not at most races. Note that the USTS does not run every PRO class.
