UP Snowmobile Trip 2007

Ok boys here is the trip of a lifetime. Date will be Feb 8-11 2007 That is Thursday-Sunday. Most show up on Thursday and head home on Sunday. That means you need to have a room for Thur-8th,Fri-9th,and Sat-10th. The hotel we stay at is called the North Shore Lodge Its right in downtown Grand Marais. There # is 1-906-494-2361. The managers name is Pam Hicks. I think you can start signing up as soon as you would like. We will all be back to the Steakhouse in town to watch the Bud Shoot Out on Saturday night. Every year I here from the New York and Jersey boys how they want to come so here is your chance. If you fly into Detroit we will get you a ride up. It'll cost you a few beers but don't think you are imposing on anyone. Hey we need to have someone to throw ice on. Snowmobiles can be rented right at the hotel. I think 150-200 per day. Or the group usually has a few extras that if set it up early, might cost you a few more beers. I encourage anyone who would like to see some beautiful areas along the Lake Superior shore line to get your passes from your significant other. Remember excuses are like ass holes they all stink and everyone has one. SEE YA Mikey

Hey Mikey I want to know why on Saturday night your getting a new sled for next year. Then you always show up with your old Kitty? I just got done making mine a 136. I should be able to pass you in the bumps and really wave with my finger cause my horn don't work.
I think that this will be Daves first time to Grand Marais. I hope we do the trip around the lake again. I'm gonna bring a gas can for you this year. I hope we can get a lot of new faces to come. Spud

Just got off the phone with North Shore Lodge. The bus from Ohio is going to be there the Thursday and Friday morning that we are going to be there. Rooms are in short supply. There will be more rooms on Friday night. You should call and get one now. Just a heads up for you. Spud

UP has 8 inches of snow. Get them sleds ready boys. How bout them boys from NY or NJ you going to come play this year. Come on Scott Clark I promise to be nice to that Firecat. How bout it Rich Runne. I got a snowmobile suit to fit you. Stacy Runne we will need a scorer!!!!!! How bout Joe Z ,or will he be to busy polishing the Hall of Champion stuff he got a couple weeks earlier. And then that 1000 Mach Z of Brian Rodes will I get a chance to run it with the T Kitty. Or maybe if i score my new Blair Morgan 800 rev I can try to keep up with Spuds new 136. Can you tell I am getting fired up. See what happens when i don't get to smell that 2 stroke smoke. How bout all them tunnel boat guys. I here you all want a chance to beet up on Shawn. I don't know he looked pretty good last time he was up and he has experence now. Your first job is to get Rich set up to go. Get his pass from momma, Make sure his apointments are not set for those important dates. As far as a sponcer for you. I am sure with all your atributes this should be no problem. Remember you have to be nice to this person who takes care of you. Then you have to get Rich to let you go. He may be looking to be away from you for a few days. And this just might be what the doctor ordered. Anyway I just talked to my contacts and they now have about 14 inches on the ground. I will be going up to test it out this weekend. I will check and see if the other sleds in the barn are worthy of you riding them. Mikey

Petoskey has snow now

HI Mike,
We have over 20 inches of snow since last friday. I put on over 170 mile
last saturday and sunday on my new F-5 Firecat. Come on up and ride this weekend.

Just got back from the upper and what a riot. We had 24 inches of snow. Great riding. The swamps are still wet and when we left the temp had risen to about 45. My advice is when they get 2 foot or more you go. We only passed 6 sleds all weekend. Had the whole Eastern end to our self. And the best part of the weekend was we went to the casino and them Indians paid for the weekend. Everyone won at lest 75 bucs. Kevin Ladds brother in law won I think 5000. A little help from Kevin as he monitered the money after the big win so not to give to much back. Get them sleds ready boys. The T Kitty's cobb webs are all blown out now. Mikey

Stag Update

North Shore Lodge is filling up fast. No more Thursday rooms. Just got a handful for Friday left. Saturday's still pretty open.

Official back-up hotel will be Arbor Gate @ 906-494-2681. It's actually closer (only 1 block) to the bar... they have several openings.

Riding was great this past weekend. Mike's T-Kitty needs some tuning as it still follows my F7...

I've heard Chris Fairchild and Gery Lewis are coming. Shubert's want to come from TX [and drink any ways...]. Prime new meat...
East coast guys are quiet - must be working on boats. Torrente said he'd be there too but is mostly all talk...
If racerchic comes, she has to dress up as a guy this boyz 'stag' weekend.

PS. Brother Bob went home owning another snowmobile ('99 Polaris 600 XC SP) and $2200. Not a bad weekend, except for the Chippewa Indians...
