    Classic Nationals

We run D Classic Hydro at CBF races in Ontario ,We do allow 44 inch motors that will bolt on to a H Tower, Super Thunder Bolt no offset spark plugs . Would these be allowed? Why not have a Classic Nationals. Mike

        KG-4,
Have you contacted a club to help host/put-on this yet?
May want to contact IOA/TRORA/MHRA/TORC and check their calenders.

Charlie Fry has a "FUN-RUN" in Nov. in Oil City, Pa. near Franklin, But NO clock/insurance/turn boats etc. Mostly testing/fly-bys..........One-on-one competition..........

Not trying to rain on your idea but if this to be a sanctioned event, contact a club for help/backing. It can take time/planning to put on an event. I've had a race site simmer'n on the "Back-Burner" for 2 years........
But if you combine with a new growing class such as inflatables/Mini-GT/formula-V/pontoon racers ----who knows.................

I have a classic ASH/kg-4 (took second in one heat of Formula-A at Cold Water a few years ago) and working on a DSH/44-Merc classic so will be watch'n/interested in your progress.............

OR, lets hear who has other ideas on putting on a FUN-RUN event.
        Turn/chase boats
        course set-up
        flag start?
        ambulance
        insurance
        etc.

        19P "GIT-ER-DONE........"

          Many moons ago . . .

The CVRA put Thundermugs on the Camden, NC schedule in response to an overwhelming outcry from Thundermug owners that they wanted to race their vintage equipment. Our T-Shirt offering that year advertised the event, "Thunder In The Swamp." Perfect - the Camden, NC site is on the fringe of the Dismal Swamp.

Four (4) Thundermugs showed up to race. A dozen others offered nothing but excuses. I hope this latest effort results in a serious attempt of the vintage owners to GET THEIR STUFF ON THE WATER! Talk is cheap . . .

Thanks for all the interest guys.I do like the fun run idea also.I would take care of te insurance, ambulance and the chase boats all i need is boats to show up and race and have a blast running the old equipment again.Keep the replies comming and i will try to get some pics of the race course next week.We have three different spots to have a race and if we do a fun run type of race all the money i raise for the race will go to the racers for prize money.I have all winter to put it together.Keep the ideas comming. Thanks guys
