    Updated Web Site

We have just updated our Aeroliner-Boats. com web site with information on four cylinder engine restoration. Doug Kay in the Detroitote area is dooing a series of four cylinder engines for us. There is a photo of a D he has completed and he has six others he is doing for us. Right now he has a numbers matching D underway, a KF-9-1, aKG-9 on a quickie, two C's and a C mod to be built. His work is unreal. If anyone would like to se some progress photos drop me a note. I also have a 44 and 66 he has done.

Hey A/B Speedliner, is that an RV-8, shown in the picture, sitting in the hanger?

        Rv 4

The plane is an Van's RV 4 serial 2323 we have been working on for nearly 12 years. Just have to install the engine, prop and cowl.

Have to excuse the typing, had CTS surgery a couple hours ago.

          Making Progress on Boats

We have started a C/D length boat and will have it finished about the end of the year if all goes well. The goal is to run the boats in the 2008 season and we will have engines for them all redy to go. Right now are restoring two C's and four D's. Also building a Merc C mod engine with my last brand new Merc block. Might like to check our web site Aeroliner-Boats.com for some info on our old Speedliner boat building.

            The C/D is taking shape

Just to update how we are progressing. Last weekend we were able to finish the ribs, set them in the jig and attach the keel and the bottom stringers for the C/D 1965 Speedliner (Aeroliner). This set a new record, only three days to go from raw wood to a framed hull. We had to refine the jig and now have a much better way to clamp in the transom. I have attached some of the pictures of this boat. We have been having a number of engines restored and have in progress there 44 CI D, a KG9H and two early 30H's. We have completed two 55H's, a Merc 700 on a Speedmaster, a KG4H. Next will be a few 20H's both converted and non. We also acquired an alky 20H with numbers matching block (Quincy) and a numbers matching KG7H and a KG7Q.
We hope to have the boats and motors ready in the winter or spring, we will bring them to some of the races and antique boat shows.

We have also acquired an original Speedliner decal which we will be reproducing for sale if anyone is interested.

              Looking for a driveshaft

I'm restoring my 30-H and the drive shaft is in sad shape. Anyone have a good one they want to sell.

                    • Old Speedliners

The Speedliner M-510 was a great boat... My first Speedliner was a 1955 Coursair M-510 which was very fast when run with my 20-H but turing it was a hand full. If you didn't roll it up right you were out of Dodge. The newer ones were a dream to drive, still are. Our new D based on the 510 should be done in a couple months. Can't wait to test it with a 44. Building it at 11 ft 8 in.

Anyone have a mark-40 powerhead or a crankshaft? Need one for a 40-H restoration. Also need a 30-H drive shaft.

                        • Hi Alan, I am not a 100 % shure but I think the MK 40 and MK 55 crank shafts are the same. I know the KF-9 and KG-9 are not. MK 55 Cranks are easy to come by. I may even have a okd one laying around...Bob N-96

                              • Rebuilding our engines both 30H's and 55 H's

These pictures are of out engines being rebuilt. There is even a 40H in the group. We are having a race to see if the engines are done before the boat. We had Bill Walker, Bill Hoctor and Doug Cohee over to the shop to observe our progress this past week.

Retirement from my normal job sure has helped speed things along.
