I see a lot of folks using rope line to replace steel steering cables. I understand it provides "smoother" steering and I am interested in switching out my cables. I have to switch them out as I am moving my steering forward a bit as it is too far to the rear and the current cables are too short, hence replacement.
What type/thickness of rope do I need? I'm looking at the dyneema sail rigging line, but don't know what thickness to get (it's all listed in mm thickness).
