There's a long history of racing in the Finger Lakes region dating to the very early outboard motors. Pat Davids is probably the best current source of info since his family has been involved since the beginning. His grandfather raced in the first Seneca Lake marathon in 1929 I believe. Pat and his family have pictures of Gramps, well known to all of us kids in the late 1950's early 1960's. Ask Mitch Meyer about Gramps Davids and his coon hounds.
