As far as I know I don't believe Johnny Cash raced, but his upright bass player, Marshall Grant raced alky runabouts with a boat named "Ring of Fire"

I had the privledge of meeting Johnny Cash and Marchall Grant over coffee in Nick Marchetti's kitchen on a saturday morning about 30 years ago. They drove up from Baltimore, where they had played Friday night.

Duke Johnson has the Byers hydro SueII that was Marshalls'. It ran at Depue this year in C-Service piloted by Duke's son who did pretty well with it.

It's was really neat seeing the old girl run.
