One of the funniest drivers meetings in years...

Seems a certain racer, knowing that Brian 10S would be doing role-call,put the name "Amanda Kissenhug" on the JH sheet. Brian read the name without missing a beat.

At which point, the same racer yelled," What?! You're looking for a man da kiss n hug?!"

    Funny...

            Dear Checkbook

            You were really missed!!

For a while Sunday morning, I had Janet, Ian, and heaven knows what else offered in trade as a realignment of Augustine Racing was unfolding. But then the Soggy Bottom Boy performed up to his potential and I lost my two trades, not to mention the draft picks, and all I had left was wet kevlar and a damp motor to show for it. Mary says the incident report just read, "same story as Saturday....different turn, different Augustine."

However, on an up note. Old Guy Sunday struck again! and the old guys repeated! Groupies were proud!

Camping was good, weather was warm and dry. A special thank you for arranging the trip so the kneel down portion of Augustine Racing could attend the Last Chance Regatta!

            Love,
            Jeff

Hey Dave i'm with you on this one.
She sounds like a heck of a chick.

I think we can spare a little laughter before we watch the news again.

Thanks to TRORA for running a good weekend. Thanks(?) for all the family info. Now could someone dig up the complete list of class results?
                Sorry I wasn't there.

Ya, ya, ya. . . as if I needed any more help from the peanut section of the group. And the person who did this was our own beloved scorer (at the request of said racer (Ian). How could I get mad at her?!?!?!? However, the same scorer is make copies of all the summaries and sending them down to me. As soon as I get, I will post.

Wish I had a recording of the radio "CHATTER" Sunday. I had resque boat duty in first set and turn boat duty in the second.
Team Robb and the "GOOD" Sax, me, John Robarge, and Mike Marshal, made for some "interesting" "RADIO CHECKS" with a over "serious" race official (I think he was trying to cover our Olympic Scores for his three dips/dunks in the lake )

Seriously---my appoligies to the judges stand if I called for a RED FLAG too soon on his last BAPTISMAL

Congrats to Gene Noonan for his win Sunday in 25MOD.

I had a good run (with my 25mod) in B-MOD Sat first heat--holding second till last sprint to finish line (was a blast running deck-to-deck with "THE GOOD"? Sax!). Was solid third till piston aluminum-fowled on plug on last turn in second heat. Dove to infield to get out of way then managed to limp her in for finish on one cyl. Got'er back together for 25MOD Sat/Sun but was not near as strong after the "MELT DOWN".

Was very happy with C-MOD Merc on a rig never tried before.

Thanks to my wife Beth, Archie Lewis, Charlie Fry, Jeff Brewster, Team Robb, and several other for help in pits!

Studied Joel's starts while out in turn boat and copied them when I was out there (as did ALOT of other drivers).

Beth, Archie and I had great Delmonico steaks at Pitzer's Friday. Jeff Williams looked busy with his "sampler platter"

Was a little concerned about the cow-path to the camping area but once Beth got the motor home up there it was a great spot!

Thanks to Cindy and Joel for diner at Cindy's "Land Yaught"/motorhome Sat night.

Good times, GREAT RACING, Can we get a couple more in before..... Winter ?

Frankinstine never scared me,.......but Marsoupials do!.....cause their FASSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!

                      19P GOING FASSSSSSSTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                        Easy Steve

Hey Steve.....you have your Sax's mixed up......the quiet shy one (the good
Sax) spent the weekend on the beach. You were on the water with the
wild man Bobba (the bad Sax). That's okay though, cause there are still
some that get us confused. Was great spending time with you and every
one else in our "other family" last weekend....looking forward to doing that
a lot more in years to come. Thanks to everyone that put this show together
and can't wait to do it again....really appreciate being "home again"

                        Ron (the good Sax)

                          The Good Sax??

Quiet? Shy? Do you recall something called a "Saxwich"?

Or do you remember how pleased you were when your baby brother driving the Saxcraft took out your Broc at Zanesville?

Quiet, shy,,,,I think not. But I will wait for your reply.

                            Quiet, shy boy !

Brother Bob was the instigator for the "Sax-wich" and he was the one that
ran me over the bouy at Z'Ville and made the Broc go upside down. It was
that or run through my boat (the Sax-Craft), my motor and my brother....and
Mom was on the beach watching it all and ,seeing as he was the favorite son,
I would have gotten blamed for it all. It was just a good thing that I had a
lot of time in the river to get cooled down before I got to shore.....could've
been worse. Remember that all things are relative.....I am the good Sax
compared to the "Pied Piper" of "J" drivers.

                            Ron (the good Sax)
