Just got back from Ford City and for those of you that did not attend, it was a perfect weekend, with perfect water and racing great. Had deck to deck racing in almost every heat. While the turnout was not what we had hoped for (about 150 entries over both days), there were several guys who drove a long way to get there (Augustines/ Danforths/ Howard/ Stoy, Ropps, Pater & Ladd, and the Jenning's just to name a few), and we thank them all for coming. Could not have done it with out you.

While I (or somebodies whose memory is better than mine) will try and post some results later, I want to mention a big thanks to Sean and Ian for helping me get clean each day. (ie it was all their fault! ) With friends like those two, . . . (fill in your own expression here)

    Highlights:
    20SSH
Joel Weigle - fast as usual but has competition is both classes. Nate Forshey in his new B&H was fast, battled with Joel all weekend. Big Dave Augustine blew the field away in one heat.
    CSH
Weigle again but was beat in the final heat by . . . Ian Augustine. Yes, Ian found speed somewhere and smoked the field in one heat. John Robarge was also strong in his O'Conner.
    FAH
Good battles in FAH between Tracy Johnston, AJ Jennings & Tom Sutherland all weekend. Seemed like a different winner each heat.
    CMH
Tom Rice looked very strong. Is starting to get his O'Conner dialed in.

    More later,

DITTO !! A big thanks to Jeff, Brian, and Mary for all of their efforts making Ford City 2005 a race to remember. TRORA another fine job running the race. The schedule flexed where it needed too to allow some of us to run back-to-back classes in different boats. All around a great weekend. I will think back on this race all Winter !!
Jeff Brewster : Thanks for the use of your spare 25XS carb jets. We got 4 heats of racing out of them and they hardly show any wear at all ! Mike Marshall, Raceboat61-S

I always thought growing up would be cool, I was wrong!
The other day GG laughed at me because I take more pills a day than she does....

If some people's kin would learn to play nice with others, instead of following certain 45yr old footsteps, all this could have been avoided. It was the influence of an undesirable character that have lead these 2 fine boys a stray. It is truely a sad day for America's youth

I would like to thank every single one who was at ford city. Being a first time racer out at Ford city and within the first 2 minutes out on the course already getting a nickname. whats up with that huge turn fin. We now have splash and skippy going to be thrashin up the water in 06. I can't explain or even put into words how much fun it was even with the wreck. O well i gotta give my dad something to do now. That way he can show me how to repair boats. Major thank you goes out to my father for all he did to help me get ready and finally out on the water. Well being a forth generation racer hopefully i will be able to follow in my fathers foots steps and give em hell. Next year i certainly don't wanna be look at the backs of all the yamatos. Well to everyone else thank you for one of the best weekends of my life and i know there will be a lot more to come.

Was and is a joke among 2 families and 2 drivers (DavidE71 (the undesirable character) and myself) that have enjoy racing and joking with each other for years. The others that were alluded to were David's brother Sean and Cousin Ian. And all three I consider some of my best friends, in or out of racing.

Hydroracer for all that it is, is not CNN. Do not beleive everything you read and not everything written is meant to be a "dig" or negative.
As for the promoting of boat racing, maybe an outsider should take things with a grain of salt and realize that 999 or 1000, every incident is ussual handled with a handshake, a hug, a beverage and a joke about it afterwords. And most dirty laundry is not for the public relm anyway and should be handled behind the scenes instead of posted on the internet.

So it seems to me the only "dig" or wrong here was you at me, where you had 0 information about the event (if there even was one) or the players involved, and without having a clue what is being said and why.

You're right, it was a dig at someone, me, and the Sean and Ian he is referring to are my brother and cousin (all 3 are stock, mod and/or pro referees), but it also should be noted that this "arguement" is long running here on Hydroracer and has always been in fun.
As for your other question, Brian was the referee at Ford City (a race that his father is behind) and my family traveled 6 hours with 6 boats to support the race, so I guess that helped racing. I did not attend the race because none of the 3 classes I race were on the schedule and I have not been cleared by the doctor to drive. I did however attend Lock Haven with my equipment and had other people run them to make sure there were enough boats on the water to put on a good show for the sponsor.

                              Thanks!

On behalf of Three Rivers, I'd like to thank all of those mentioned beforehand by Brian and all who attended. We were very fortunate today's (Mon) weather held off. I do want to thank the entire Augustine/Danforth/Howard/Stoy crew as well for stepping up and helping out in the 3rd set yesterday when they could have headed home instead. We appreciated that!

Also, to all the members who helped set up and tear things down....Thank You. It was a very nice event with very few difficulties. Another season has come to a close for Three Rivers but we are very excited about the 2006 season!

Thanks again for supporting Three Rivers,
