ply glue
Agreed, the weakest link is always where failure happens. The glue I am familiar with used in the plys is the resorsonil type (2 part nasty stuff) that is WBP and is an extremly strong bond. If used for frame and ply construction it stains surrounding wood and difficult to clean up so clear finishes are out in those areas. Not a stain issue with the urea resin types (Weldwood plastic resin water mixed) as water clean up before setting.
Not sure what glue type they presently use in okume BS1088 plywood but it is WBP and when I boiled for at least an hour does not come apart.
