    Wayne,

I'm not sure of the current stock of original parts but I do know that some of the patterns and/or molds originally bought either were useless or missing. I believe the original block and case patterns, molds, or whatever, do not exist. That is the reason the original motor/ design was not just reproduced which was the intention from the beginning.

Stock Outboard is all about a level playing field.

True parity is one motor per class.

It's RACING, not just another boat ride!

      John,
I think the tooling was also modified to increase the wall thicknesses on the case and maybe the block as well. Pretty sure this was done to increase/improve engine life.

and here you have the answer to Deans question "not sure what this means..."

        Create your own series.

Comments like this don't help anyone. Maybe I will win the lotto next year and do the same thing. I think they both stand about the same chance of happening.

The Sidewinders have been treated well by the SORC for the issues they have had coming to market.

I am excited about the manufacturing capabilities and expertise that Jesel can bring to the table.

            John,
Are they going to be able to make the parts now for the classics? Would be nice for the amount of hot rods out there. Any more info on the MOD version of the sidewinder? I remeber it looked pretty sharp in the photo they posted one time

              Website

Wonder if with Jesel's help the Sidewinder web site will actually be updated and become interactive.

It would be nice to be able to order parts with a credit card and have them on your door step next day like most businesses. This would be another major step in moving forward for customers.

Why all the suggestions of a separate series with NBRA for the Sidewinders?

I would be careful what you wish for. I think a lot of people within Stock would not mind seeing that happen,. I am not sure why you are trying to throw gas on the fire. Do you really think you have enough Sidewinder owners to start a series independently. You a would be competing against APBA and a Yamato dominated program, where the engine is significantly cheaper. Think it out a bit, and then I would slow down on the rhetoric.

Maybe when you get 100 Sidewinder owners you could try, but you are not even close yet.

We all need each other right now to survive.

Way to add a little enthusiasm into a conversation, Brian. Jesel is a great company and apparently they see worth in SideWinder or else they would not have joined forces with them.

All of you complaining about EVERYTHING, from SideWinder to APBA should volunteer and help make things better or get off your soapbox and fade away! My two boys ages 4 and 2 do not whine as much as half of you on this site!

                        Motor pricing

This is a serious question, (and Lord heavens I'm not starting anything), but will this merger possibly result in lower prices per motor?

I'm not complaining. Just not sure what their interest could be. I will ask them today though, guess I'm the only guy in the Motorsports business that is interested enough to come to the biggest show of the year.

Please stop the series / NBRA talk. Racing Outboards has no affiliation with anybody but APBA Stock & Mod. All they want to do is help this sport stay alive by supplying engines.

                              Pricing

Chris I agree with you, in manufacturing when you are able to improve the actual manufacturing of items by reducing assembly time and machine time cost of manufacturing drops. When I saw the post the Jesel bought out the company that was my first hopes that they would be able to produce these at a cheaper cost making them more affordable. The hardest thing is going to be recouping the initial investment into buying the company.
