        • Super nice work. I sure hope that gas tank is big enough. How much does it hold?

          • The tank weighs 12 oz. and holds 5 qt.

I bought a used plastic omc oil tank for my d stock......holds 2 gallons of mixed gas. Thing works great.....sometimes for whatever reason the Tohatsu uses a lot of fuel in a heat...don't know why.

Possibility #458: You actually squeeze the throttle and finish a heat?

the tank you want is the OMC VRO oil tank (1.8gal)........the one with the 2 caps is the large Mercury oil tank (3gal), which you dont want. You can usually find a good used one at any Outboard Repair Shop............if you cant find one, I have a few extras..

                            like this one....

Good call..you do not need a 3 gallon tank. If you can get a 2 gallon one from Darren go for it. Sometimes that is enough to run 2 heats....but not all the time. for whatever reason the tohatsu uses a lot of fuel in a heat. might be when they hod the clock etc. Dave
