    Scott -- great ideas

Sounds like The USTS ... Seems boat racing is not the problem -- APBA is the problem

Some will be less expensive some will be more expensive, but something for everyone.

Next do not limit what can be run locally. All categories have regional participation in classes that people enjoy racing a few times per year.

Promote a national program. Idea for kneel down: Every sanction everywhere would run JH every race day at 11:00 am and CSH at noon and 250h at 1:00 and 750mr at 2:00. Everywhere-every race. Plug in local classes around "National" classes that we have brochures and a display trailer with available power plants available for purchase.

Everyone who has posted here with the exception of few believes changes in equipment is the answer to help APBA nothing could be further from the truth.
You all need to read the bylaws and see that APBA does not follow them.

YOU MUST FOLLOW THEM IF YOU WISH GROWTH AND IT IS VERY EASY...

          Local "Rates" on Insurance

One of the main problems I see are costs of putting on a race. Insurance companies are really no different the "Bookies". Bookies are not gamblers, as they work the point spread. I feel that there is an insurance company out there, when approached properly, would consider offering cheaper rates for half day races. And maybe better rates at certain lakes.

There is a lake at Brawley, California that has sand banks 20 feet high. The race has no spectators. This lake should have cheaper rates than racing at Long Beach.

JUst saying bUt NBRA's insurance rates ARE lower than APBA and NBRA is still in business. So everyone who says their insurand ani't that wonderful could be right, except they are putting on races where their club make money!

I SUPPORT THE CONCEPT OF A CORE" OF National classes and local classes. As I see it PRO and AM's.

More is better.. too much is just enuff

Let's see Ron.. I just cliked onto www.racenbra.net to see what they charge to join. I was really dis-heartened to see that they do not offer a "Super Category" for $220 bucks. Huh?? Nope!

Nope.... in NBRA you're stuck with only being able to pay $85 bucks for ALL category's. Huh?? Somehow this just doesn't seem fair. I mean if yer gonna race a bunch of classes you should have to pay big bucks.... right? I mean what the heck.. $220 bucks... I mean we all have a couple $100 dollar bills stuck in our wallets right?

Someone please help me here.... I have fallen and cannot reach my beer. I'm going to have to give my sponsor Victoria Secret a call.

Lemme see... $85 bucks versa $220 bucks (pri to 28 Feb) then $295... now that's what I call good incentive.. eh?

                    Regarding Insurance

Not all insurance coverage is created equal. Often, a lower premium is an indicator of less coverage. Also, really low premiums can indicate that the insurer's ability to cover a number of claims or a large claim is questionable. How does NBRA's and APBA's health insurance maximum amounts compare (i.e. - the maximum paid for an individual accident to a single participant)?

It my understanding that APBA's decrease in insurance cost per event this season came with a decrease in participant coverage.

this year coverage on us,the drivers has dropped to 10,000 from 20,000 dollars.this made or insurance per event cheaper.i am not sure if there was any other factors in the current policy that made things cheaper.

Think what you want about NBRA, but every race we have in 2014 will pay tow money. Not chump change either. Not only that but other sources of income. are in the talking stages. All of our sponsoring clubs pay their expenses and make money when they put on a race. The NBRA rebated each sponsoring club this year $1000.00 plus it also pays a generous amount to the club sponsoring the Long & Short course Nats. I am VP of NBRA and I am doggone proud of how far the NBRA has come, and really looking forward to the future.
