      Looking good!

Good job Josh. I see you are running pipe 2. I think that is a good decision. Make sure you are using the full length to get out of the hole. The height restriction makes the pipe a little slower to come on. Good luck. Do us proud.

Thanks Cliff... Quick question. Will extending the pipe hurt my top end?

Are you running the pipe fixed? If you are not pulling it, yes, lengthing out will cost you top end.

Yes it's fixed... Didn't have a chance to make it move. My (100 extra pound) arse needs all the top end it can muster.

              Heads up!

It's 10:00am their time. The boats are getting into the water. As I remember, the launch area is very congested. Boats will put into the water up to 30 minutes before the start of the race. The race is started with a rolling start conducted by a referee in a large pace boat. If you observe this photo, you notice the large amount of water plants floating around. This is typical for Ecuador. (This photo was taken just minutes ago)

Wonder how many motors get burnt up running through those floating weeds!!

                Looks like a fun run!...........

Word is, right now Felipe Adel leads the race. No word on Josh yet. This race travels a great distance through unpopulated areas. So we might not hear about Josh's whereabouts until the end of the race in about another 30 minutes.

This just in! Josh is running in third place.
This race usually has 30-40 entries.
The race is not over yet!
                    GO JOSH!!!!

Todd, the audio is being streamed online through the link Josh posted earlier. I have an Ecuadorian friend translating and giving me updates.
The finishers should start coming in any minute now.
There might be a little delay now. My church is almost over, so I have to get off my phone. Oops.

This just in, Josh placed third.
We were all hoping for a win, but third place is very respectable in this event.
Soon we can expect to see Photos of the street party to take place for all race finishers.
                            Way to go Josh!

A photo from the winner's circle.
Josh is easy to pick out in the crowds down there. He's much taller than nearly everybody!
