Your comment regarding Elek is very disrespectful.

Elek has done more in a year to promote boat racing than you will in your lifetime. He does not deserve your comment.

      The disrespect was reciprocated.

      Thanks for the obtuse opinion.

Neither of you are worthy of disrespect. If you knew each other, you'd know that.

Stock Outboard is all about a level playing field.

True parity is one motor per class.

No one worry about this rule at all. Pickle tips are a non-speed advantage, stay on Eds good side and he and dad and roberts rule will get you off!

PS-as long as you have the current years safety inspection sticker.

              confused

Did the J committee adopt the exhisting stock pickle fork rule? Or the new rule that was being decided? Did they adopt a rule that was not made yet?

                      Mr Kentucky Blue,
Bring your boat over. We can modify your boat quickly and for free. No big deal.

Easy fix look at the pictures I posted over on the other thread radius is easy thickness will be the problem on some of the little boats. A fine tooth hand saw, some 5 min epoxy and a couple balsa blocks. Balsa sands like butter plus it will break away easy in wreck. Whole deal takes about 30 min to do.The blocks will cover up a hole if there is one when the tips are cut off.
Destiny is a matter of chance,it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.

                          George,
You've addressed the work-around "how". I want to know what safety advantage is gained by gluing bocks to the sponson tips that break off in an accident...all in the name of meeting some arbitrary dimension which was selected without any regard to boat specific building norms.

Man I should have let Mike fix these sponson tips. I cut off a little more that I was supposed to.

                              J hydro tuck rule

I replied to a senior region 4 members(Matt D) comment about the tuck rule. I am sorry for referencing his comic book nickname( Capt. America) incorrectly, and meant no disrespect. A reply to my question of "its my responsibility to know these rules, and attend the annual meeting if I wanted to know or be involved in the decision making process" basically. I can appreciate members who have knowledge of these rule changes not wanting to be involved, just trying to spread the information, on this site. There is no reason for all of the whining/complaining and personal bashing for just trying to inform others of what they know to be true. I am ok with ANY rule changes, i just want to know how to proceed. I have spent hundreds of hours in the garage and on the lake, and have permanently modified my hydros to run J Hydro( specifically to do with the motor/ boat mounting and running angle. I cannot re engineer or modify my boats in a couple weeks time, and will not spend any more time testing(hydros) until i receive confirmation on this very important to me issue. Sooooo......... The REAL ANSWER IS??? Still waiting to hear also

                                Bob,
Buy a runabout...you can run that bow thru a pencil sharpener and it's all good. Now how much sense does that make?

I'm amazed at the folks here that roll over and accept unwarranted changes to rules in the name of safety, without holding the rule changers accountable for their actions. "Shedable" sponson tips won't increase the surface area of a sponson tip. Isn't that the genesis of the rule?
