    Nice !!

Nice looking boat. I love how Jon cuts out the ribs with that design. Beats a simple hole saw for lightening holes for sure !!

You are doing a fine job for our first boat, and yes I agree, building baots is a blast !! With kits like JDS offers, and Sorenson, Plans from MJR, I think B&H offers a kit, a fella can build a new boat for reasonable !!!

    Keep us posted !!

How 'bout one that's already built?

That was a great thread last year. Thanks for starting a thread for this year. Your boat's looking good except.... Don't you think that board across the very back is going to be in the way when you try to put on a motor?

Here's a new one for 2005. And NO it is not going to have one of them heavy OMC 3 holers on hanging it!

re; How 'bout one that's already built?

          David; -looks great!
-but I would not give him any more money until he puts new seals in the tranny. Looks to me like its dripping out all over the ground
Seriously, what 'light' motor will u use
One of them new ones I can't spell?

            Mike,

See what you can do.... Let's see what that boat would look like with L6 on the side of the cockpit.

            Brian,

I'm running C mod and E mod Mercury (44) and maybe a D (40) this year. Burt and Ralph won't let me race Super E yet. They say that I haven't been pitting for them long enough yet to learn the finer points of sophisticated motors like the SE's.

I need a 44 boat. I think that there's enough difference between the 44 and FE/SE that you're better off with a dedicated FE/SE boat. Just like you're better off with a dedicated C boat instead of trying to run C and D on same boat.

              Burt is ...

Yes David , I think Burt is right, there is a long learning curve to those OMC triples. Worst part is the starting. Neither of my two drivers,
of my #66, last season could figure out which way to turn the key, and the electric primer button confused them so much we had to take it out.
              So, lots to learn
Really, the front runners in the NE, running in the low 90s, seem to enter/exit turns better with a longer/wider boat. Interesting to see where FEH hull design is going. Lets hope we do not hit the 'capsule' wall.

Yo Brian, need to adjust your post, I seem to remember being the first boat out of the pits each time I drove the 66

As for the learning curve for a new driver, I found that ride to be great, the OMC had a lot more snot than my old emod Merc, and with the right boat (Brian had a nice Roper) you can really rocket thru the turns.

Now that you live in such a warm climate that you always indicate when we are buried to our noses in snow, have you tested it yet ? I bet you can sneak up on some ducks with that flat black stealth looking boat !! Just keep the Yellow off it and nobody will know you are coming....

Heres a new CSH boat Im building for Ron Selewach will be at Ocoee in March. Its a Sam Hemp kit that Ron picked up from someone else. Its being done in ribbon cut saple on the decks like the ones I built last year. Still have a BSH boat to build for myself before spring.
