The B motor that they have been using is 15 cu in which has been a problem getting it to run with the Hotrods. They are going to de tune the 20 inch motor for B now which should do the trick speed wise against the Hotrods.Destiny is a matter of chance,it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.

To make the Mercury work against the OMC and the Sidewinder the OMC and the Sidewinder will have to be slowed down two miles and hour. You will really hear the OMC camp whine then.Destiny is a matter of chance,it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.

After all the work I put in the A Sidewinder to make it where it is as good as the good OMC motors and the new Parity group slows it down again like they did before and made it useless Im done with boat racing Pat. After spending 9000.00 on two motors which was supposed to be the future of the A stock class and having nothing but hassels over it from the trailer box protectors.Destiny is a matter of chance,it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.

Good Lord, I hope someone is listening to George, I am willing to bet that that he is just the tip of the iceberg. Common Sense please...... Cut the BS and go racing, when painting the floor, you start in the corner and work you way to the door, not the other way around.

It's all a matter of perspective. We have spent more than $9k, have a young driver at the beginning of her racing career, who just wants fair decisions based upon the facts. George is correct and so are others. It could be argued he is protecting his trailer box and I don't blame him a bit. Sometimes the truth is difficult to acknowledge. Why does SW want in A? Why "give up" on the 15B (admit I may have the #s wrong)? Because they don't work!
I would love to see the SW succeed. I also want the Boeing 787 to be successful. These motors should have had hard data before approving them in existing successful classes. The SORC made a mistake by approving without data. Yet, their intentions were for the good of the sport. Let's not make this a conversation like the political dis-function in our country. Get the facts, make the best decision for the good of the sport, and be willing to adjust when you are wrong.

I am in a similar attitude as George. We purchased a SW 15s, sold two omcs one freshly bored and rebuilt and apparently it is doing well in California. This was done in anticipation of the SW being the motor of choice.I have yet to get into a win, place or show with the SW over the past two seasons and have been doing all I can with the time alloted to me. Just as soon as something starts to work, changes are made. I reworked one prop and it helped. Now new changes will occur and that prop is probably toast. One cannot go on forever chasing the proverbial "ball of yarn" to find success that is always out of reach.
I think that the changes being made are based on one on one data and not on overall nation wide results. I would guess that if you took all race data, all motors, boats, motors and tablulated the results you might come to a different conclusion. In other words the data used is not statistically significant or meaningful and is pretty much anectdotal (sp).
