Gootz - Just for kicks I googled the Belle Isle race. There is a link to this press release photo from 1964. Just a FYI.

My neighbor in Bellflower, California, Whitey Clayton, was a great body and fender man. He formed "ALTER EGO's tail fin out of aluminum. He worked for Bill Stropp and Holman and Moody. Whitey also made head "lights" out of aluminum pans for Chuck Daigh's "T" Bird that set the land speed record on Daytona Beach.

Remember when
Great grandpa used to race "motor boats" in 1938?
(or for you fault finders, "engined boats")
P.S - Yes that is "Shean Penn" in the first picture. He is actually an alien and never ages.Tom L.

Kevin,
His name is Pete Haigh. He stopped racing in the early 70's after injuring his back in a crash. Real nice guy, always just ran BSH and always ran very well.John Runne

Stock Outboard is all about a level playing field.
True parity is one motor per class.
It's RACING, not just another boat ride!
