Attached are some more pictures. The first one shows a ledge where the clock would sit. This is the far end of the pits. last one shows places for vendors and the public. The blue hand rail will have snow fencing and sponsor banners. There is an elevated path way around most of the lake.

New race site

Lemme tell ya...if somebody had drawn up plans for a new race site from scratch, this place would fit the bill. The launch area is fantastic, spectator viewing will be the same....I can't WAIT to go there. And...you can walk out of your hotel room and down to the pits...maybe 200 feet. If anybody choses not to to go to this race you will be missing out. I am betting they are going to have several thousand people watching this event.....

The blue fence has wire between the rails. No need for snow fence. This place is the most impressive site that I have seen in 30 years.

I already have people in region 10 calling me about race site. (I don't tell them how much money I lost at blackjack. I tell ya...that game is fixed!) Oh ya, I rented a car from Alamo....returned it without a scratch!

Sparks Hydrofest, Sparks/Reno NV, Aug 18 and 19th.

ATTENTION WEST COAST BOAT RACERS. The Sparks Hydrofest is on and a little more than two weeks away. We have a number of racers that have already made room reservations. Some of you still need to make reservations. The Cut off date for Western Village Inn and Casino (owned by the Peppermill) has been extended to August 10th. For reservations, please call 800-282-2444 and use Code "LYAMATO". The room rate has been lowered to $45 on Friday and Saturday August 17th and 18th. If you come early or late, the rate is $29 on Wednesday, Thursday, and Monday and Tuesday. Make sure you get this rate, even if you have already made earlier reservations.

Even if you are undecided and your on the Orange Snow Fence, please make reservations. You can always cancel them if you find a better race.

Better Race

There won't be a better race anywhere. The hotel rates can't be beat either. Come one, come all, sure to be a fabulous weekend.
