Matt, if you are interested in the notion of creating a 'build' video and don't have the editing software, skills or time to pull it off, contact me; I would be willing to support such a project.

      Hard Ride................

      Matt
Maybe you can explain a little about the difference in the 'ride' of a carbon boat vs. a wood hull................

My daughter and i have driven the Luce Hulls and there is 'no give' in the carbon boats when bouncing over rough water. Some would argue that the 'flex' factor in a propeller is what sometimes makes it a great propeller and of course the same can be argued about a wood hull i guess...........what do you think?????

ps.........i saw in a old pic that you wound up with my little 2 boat trailer Shannon built a hundred years ago. Nice to see it is still around!

Built one for last year made it out of anegra and carbonfiber and I used 1/4 poly-core plastic honey comb I made a mold off of one of my old boats and layer the whole bottom up in 2 times. I put 1 layer of anegra then 1 layer of carbon fiber then another layer of anegra then the core in. I vacume bagged it once it cured I ved out all the joints and filled all the joints them with lightweight tooling compound sanded the joints flat. Then put another layer of anegra on the inside of the boat and bagged it. I made the cockpit sides up on the bench at home. I made up other panels up out of 1 layer of anegra 1/4 polycore and 1 layer of anegra to cut ribs out of then I used lightweight tooling dough thined with resin to glue the cockpit and ribs in with. It really helps to have other hands when laying up that big of a piece to get it layed up and bagged before the epoxy kicks off. I will try to load some pics of the boat in the process when I can get to the computer.
