good time of the year to get interested in racing. if you would like to go for a ride shoot me an email. i test with a couple guys just a bit south (30 minutes) of you. we would love to have you come hang out with us on a testing trip. take a ride in a couple different boats. try a runabout or maybe an A or D hydro with us also. your weight plays a big part in what boat you will enjoy racing. come get to know the guys/girls that race in our area. lots of good used equipment for sale and if your looking for a new boat everyone on your list and a few others will be willing to build just what you want.

stock outboard racing is the best bunch of people you will ever meet. come hang with us...

You have at least three people on here telling you to come hang out and test with them. My advice, is to do just that. You can't get any more experience than testing with experienced racers. Keep an open mind on what Hull you choose, and take up the offers to drive different makes and models.

I would say in your area go with an MRC if you buy new. Shipping a boat is not cheap. They are good boats. At some point or another every brand out there has won a Nationals. It comes down to the driver ability to drive and not ride. You won't regret getting into the sport. I highly reccomend getting into the Mod Division. It can be a lot cheaper in the long run, and it can be less confusing as to what class the engines are. You can also spend more time tweaking to get the most speed and punch, where in stock, you basically can't touch the engine. Nothing wrong with stock if that is your cup of tea. It is all boat racing in the end.

              great opportunity

if our mysterious lenny is a guy who could drive an A hydro or runabout i know a boat owner looking for a steady driver this year.

              offer still stands.
