Well this material has been one and a half months is getting here but finally picked up the material in Missoula yesterday..16 sheets of Okoume and 5 sheets of Nida Core..

Now once I get over this cold I picked up yesterday I can get to work..I must say the 10mm Nida core is a little heavier than I was expecting but it is definately ridged.

I will be building one new design MRC CSH and two boats we are calling the MRC Morphs. Thes two are also for CSH.

      Progress report

Gee with all that light weight material do you thinK you could build a 95# super E boat with a 42 inch bottom? Relly looking forward to your progress reports on your new builds Mike. We ran the C a little bit back and getting it in the zone. A couple more tweeks and we should be ready. We hope to test again in the early spring up at Pineville and work on props.

Super E with 42" bottom no problem..95LBS don't think so.. That is a big boat. If you want a 10' super E then yes indeed!

Do you guys rework your own props or just change them from one to the next?

          Props

Over the years I have acquired more props that I really need. I have somewhat over 300 kicking around. The 3 and 4 blade ones I send back for a touch up if we need a little bit done to them. A great number of them come from my old BSH and BU days, they are all 2 blade wheels. A lot of my 2 cylinder props are Kamac, still have an A and B steel ones in the original boxes. The Michigan props I have both the brass and steel versions. I have been know to hammer on a brass one now and then. I think my best work was when I only lost 2 MPH after I altered it. I will post a photo of the new Kamac props.

you guys haleing for a super -e boat light weight 42' wide.... you alllll dreaming a light boat at that wide,,,,, i built mine lite but veryvery strong out of wood,,,, prob my 10th or 11th boat, i built,,, super e has to be very very strong for the weight and torque,,,,,,,and as others can attest,,, lite boats in the v-rude class dont work,,,as it gets very very rough,,, plus lift in the front is way different,,, and as i have found out the ass end lifts hec of alot,,,,that is what ive spent part of the season working out,,, thanks to ed karelsen,,, iam 99% there now,,,,

What is wrong with this picture?

Why is the Green Revolution in the background?

These panels don't support fastners real well..I have some ideas but most of the time fastners are installed to support the glue up

Honeycomb needs an insert or it will colapse so the extra work and repair problems seem to be more work than it is worth on the small boats. When I was at Jones they used honeycomb aluminum with special inserts on the unlimiteds and lots of epoxy on every edge and joint.
