    Vivo's

I second Vivo's for pizza. It is a cool eating place. I have ate there many times in both the winter and summer months. They have lots of good stuff on the menu.

Get your body ready by plenty of time in the boat on not so nice water. If not you will use some mussels in the race that you never knew that you had. Your boss won't like you calling in sick on Monday. I remember my first Top 'O in '91, glad I could recuperate in Montoya's motor home & didn't have to drive.

CSR Fuel requirments for Top O'

Wayne, When I was building my boat, I was told to have six gallons available. I did just that, and I have fuel left over, maybe a gallon. Is five gallons enough? Maybe not for some days, I imagine, so I am happy to have a gallon left over. I've heard from better than me that you can really eat it up on a bad trip across Mullett Lake. Not to suggest that there is a good trip across Mullett Lake, but some are worse than others. See ya' at KampKurz

              Another one...

              I almost forgot this Top O' don't.
Don't try to go thru the Indian River McDonald's drive thru while pulling your trailer! It has a sharp 90° turn in the lane.
Trust me... you'll piss off more than a few people.

                    Right Turns

My Sorensen doesn't like to turn right right but when it does hook up it hooks up hard. Way harder than to the left, it'll open your eyes wide. I bounced off one of the channel markers in Indian River once when it did it.

Wayne, I have an aprox five gall tank. When filled I come back with fuel, maybe a gall or so. Mark is right, if the lakes are nasty you will eat a little more.

More ?'s 1-I'm running out of time and it doesn't look like I will get my fuel pump so to the backup plan Electric.when building the riser for the extended gas cap to hold the filler inlet,is it better in PVC or ABS.

2- When building the gascap PVC / ABS glue or westsystem?

3- Do you run kicked in or parrallel?
4- 3/4 or deeper for marathon?
5- Oil mix 24/1 ok or more oil due to run time?
6- Whats the diff from my Hydro prop to a runabout prop, bigger or smaller?

                          6 of a million ?

                          Thanks Wayne

Wayne. I used PVC. It is not a proper fit but works. You can buy a pvc fitting that will thread on but not perfectly. PVC glue is what I used. This gets you in the race. Do you have an example to follow? Maybe I could post a picture?
I think every boat has a different set-up that works best. I have many racer-friends that think I am crazy for kicking out, but that's what I'm doing. Test a couple different set-ups at KampKurz and decide.
Twenty people will give you twenty ratio's for your 302 or 102. I run really rich. Trusted folks have convinced me that compression is power, and bearings are expensive. I choose to run richer than 24/1 but....??
Test at KampKurz at a couple levels, then run at 3/4 under...haha!
Maybe some of our other Top O' racers will check in and offer tips for props. I do not know the best wheel choice. Dewald cleavers have been my choice, because that is what Craig thought was best for my rig. I have been happy with that. Bring it...Mark Kurz

Watch out for the Extra Large margarita at the Breakers. I think it must have been two gallons. Had to have help consuming it. It was $18. But was worth it. Jack

bring lots of beer, youll receive help when you ask 9 times out of 10, and more than likely have the chance to repay your debt in some form or another, but cold beers on hand always help, especially after day one when you figure out what its like to straighten your legs again
Which way was the shiny side supposed to go? Up?
