all those names and ladies as well are awesome pit crews, but there is one, the only one I know that would hitchhike or greyhound across the country to get to a race and then sleep on whatever he could sleep on and then work dawn till dusk in the pits for nothing and in anyone's pits. It has to be

    CHARLIE FRY... he's batman....LOL.

OH and for us middle to east coasters. Ray 90-N Stef...he'll hold boats and pretty much anything else without letting go of the dog AND give you a stuffed toy or coffee mug when it's all said and done. : ) ask Billy A he knows.

Darrell Sorensen is of huge value. The guy will be in you'r pit with plywood and 5 min epoxy before the tow boat gets you to shore!

My dad is also great, with books of notes on every setup, every prop, every heat anyone in the family runs. Info is invaluable.

Wayne Seeberg can tell you what's up with a motor from a mile away.

I guess I have to jump in here and put my candidates in. First, I would have to say my father, Dan Kirts. I have seen him at many races helping not only myself, but just about any body else on the bank that needs help. The man roams and talks to everyone and is a walking book of knowledge. He has helped many people win a lot of races over the years and I am sure he will have a hand in many more. I would also like to throw out Fred Mason, Rex Hall, and Lowell Schumacher. These three guys work from sun up to sun down and never blink an eye. They are top notch gentlemen along with my father. If I had to pick any crew people to get me on the water and winning races, these four would be my choice.

            Chelmsfords own

He may have past his prime but Ken Hall , AKA Pork Chops has helped out a bunch of region 1 racers over the years.

My dad Jim Robb is defiantly one of the best crew chefs/pit crew, From sitting up 5 mod rigs, doing 750 and 850 engines swaps from boat to boat, always making sure I never miss a heat, drives to the races and back home races while I'll sleep thur most of the trips. And plus all the work he does when where not at the races. So Jim Robb should totally make list.

              Also add:
              Larry and Tracy Spencer
              Rich Welch
              Dave Brill
              Dave Brinkmen
              Mike Ross

When I got hurt during Joey's rookie season Bill Hoctor stepped in as crew chief, and recruited Bill Giles, Craig Dewald and Dianne Murray. They were his crew at several races. Also, anyone from "Team Eldredge" and "Team Ellison", and THREE-ON.

                      Matt Mutz!!!!

This unique fellow helps make champions. Billy Allen, Kenny Rosodo and myself, all had our best racing seasons with him as our crew chief. When one knows their equipment is going to be set up perfectly before each race and double checked in between heats, one can focus on the task at hand and do their best.

I second Charlie Fry. He will jump in for anyone, anywhere, anytime. He always will hold a special place in the pit crew hall of fame, and in general, great person.

I never meet this guy but seems he was a "God" on anything and everything he touched.

                                Jimbo Mcdonell (spelling)

                                Everybody always mentions his name
