Update 1

I just wanted to give everyone a quick update from Ecuador.
Josh and I arrived In Ecuador Saturday at about 7:30pm. We cleared customs about an hour later. As we exited customs, we were greeted by a large crowd. Many photos of us with our Ecuadorian hosts were taken. We were then given a television interview before leaving the airport. Press conference is scheduled for Wednesday (I think)
Today (Sunday) we spent the day testing with 6 other Ecuadorian racers and many pit crew. I´ll tell you what, these guys surely know how to make these Yamato´s sing! Josh and I are very happy with the equipment provided for our use. As for me, my boat is GPS´ing out at 65.5. But I will make some changes and try again on Tuesday for more speed.
Josh and I have been met with nothing but the warmest reception here in Guayaquil. We are certainly having a great time, and look forward to many more days here with our new friends.
I have many photos. Perhaps I will be able to upload some tomorrow. Very busy!

Nice looking bunch of racers. Have you guys been able to communicate well with each other?? Of course, I suppose as soon as those piped Yamato's crank up, who cares. Either way, looks like a good time is being had by all.
