Another update:

We spent yesterday (Monday) working on the boats. Everything is in order for more testing today.
We were given a most fantastic homemade meal at the home of Nelson Yela. Then we spent the rest of the evening with a group of great racers learning about the history of the Guayaquil-Vinces marathon race.
We got back to the hotel at about 1:30am.
We are very grateful for the hospitality given by our Ecuadorian hosts.

From looking at the pictures posted here & facebook, what I have noticed since I was there 5 years ago:
There are many more Yamatos being ran.
More new boats with sponsorship
More new drivers + some familiar faces like Goroge Trenio.

Good luck to our drivers Josh & Jeff. Race safe & don't get lost. I know that your having a great time.
