Another thing I would like to add is when you take on a project like this make sure you have LOTS OF CLAMPS. You can never have to many. I have 4 foot bar clamps down to 1 inch squeeze clamps. If you only have a few keep adding to your collection slowly. Other wise you will waste a lot of time waiting for one small area to set up at a time.

Should have some more pictures tomorrow. It takes a lot of time to cut out the ribs and talk to potential new customers.

Here are the latest pictures. I have not used a single drop of glue yet. This is all test fitting. Wish I had more clamps but oh well. This is not for a first time boat builder. With the curved cockpit sides it is real hard to keep everything strait. Note the shims on top of the last four ribs. This is to compensate for the tunnel in the back center of the boat.

Mike, don't rush or worry about loosing this audience: while I am eager to follow along, I also have to work for a living and that takes up a large amount of my time so...as you have time post it and we will read it

Today I have spent all day glueing and screwing to the point of using up all of my clamps. Good reason to take a break. Anyway I guess the main thing is to keep everything strait. I also make sure the airtrap measurement stays the same from front to back. Make sure to try to wipe off all excess glue and use stainless steel screws.

I also used spacer blocks as shown in one picture to keep the spacing between the cockpit sides the same till you get to the start of the sponsons. From there forward on this model the wood curves in to form the area for the fiberglass nose.

If it warms up tomorrow hopefully I can pull all of the clamps and we can install a lot of the stringers, airtrap and transom. Hope this helps some that are on the fence about a project like this.

Maybe I forgot to mention but this is also a "guess what class boat" this is? The answer will not be given out till the motor is strapped on to it!!

Now the stringers have been notched out to get rid of excess material. Every ounce counts. Then I have traced out the sponson sides with the wood pecker and cut and fit one side. Also I have cut 6 pieces of 1/4 inch plywood to make and laminate the motor mount. I have two deep cycle batterys holding it tight till the epoxy sets up.
