Since many want the OMC "A" to die as the SW "A" is available; why don't we let the MERC 25XS die since the SW "20" is available?

25R & 25H should be the SW "20" & the classes called BSR & BSH!

Brent, your pretty smart for a Marine. That's where my thinking is too. We just don't have enough of them out there yet.

What is the weight for 25 with a winder? Can a 200 pounder get there?

Leave all 3 in 25SSR, the Sidewinder WILL continue to get faster and get into the mix with the Yamato and Merc, no doubt about it. Restricting the Merc? Why? Yes Eddie has more top than any Yamato, but the fastest boat doesn't always win the race. He has to start and get through the same course and same waves we do with a smaller lighter rig. There is a pro/con to every motor option. A restricted Yamato won the Nationals in 25 in '07 by me and in '10 by JM Kelly, so winning without a Merc on the transom is possible. As for CSR, leave it alone, why lighten up a class made for the larger guys, as a lighter guy I have 3 other classes to run safely in: A/B/and 25. Lets not limit the possible classes for the 200+ lb club. This coming from a 175lb driver that races A/B/C/25, having to put 50lbs. of lead in the C to be legal. I don't think now is the time to disrupt what we have. Instead, lets funnel people towards the more popular/full classes and have some better racing, check out Mikey H's post on the other thread about the heats/classes/$ possibilities, good stuff! GL
