  • "Bucket List" on life support!!

This weekend was not good for BlueSky Racing. Have a little work to do before Ione in a month. Powder puff racing is rough. It was fun to watch with Malissa and Becky going at it all weekend long. Came down to the last corner for the weekend and neither driver was going to give. Ouch

It was a lot of fun to watch. Those two light ladies really had the boats screaming down the back streatches side by side.

I guess repairs will be on hold for a couple days since I just put a chisle thru the palm of my hand. Just got back from getting my hand stitched back together. Catching a lot of S#*$ over this one. A couple days ago the neighbor shot a 16p nail thru his hand. I think I will take a nap so I can't hurt myself anymore.

If you are squeamish - DONT LOOK

Well the picture makes it look pretty good.

Took about 6 stiches to sew it up and nothing vital was hit. It is the throttle squeezing hand so good that we have a month till the next race. That is going to be really sore for a few days, stitches out in a week.

Banished from the shop for the rest of today! This is going to be one expensive boat to repair! Can't wait to see our neighbor "nail dude" and give him a good laugh!

Seriously I met him outside the Doctors office and had to see if I could fix it with a bandaid! It was beyond a bandaid or super glue so inside we had to go. Butterflies weren't going to close it because it moves so much.

Lidocaine is wearing off now and it is starting to feel a little pain. Couple of days and it will be as good as new! Like I said good thing we have a month off!

I am sure vacumning and laundry, bedmaking and windows are on the DO NOT DO list!

Has to heal fast because we have a boat to get repaired. Stitches out in a week!

                          Yikes!!

That chisel wound is giving me the willies. Was that a twenty five degree grind or a thirty degree grind on that chisel? It's hard to tell by looking at the picture. As a woodwoorker/boatbuilder, I can feel for you.
You've got a lot of work in front of you, and I admire your shop. Good luck with the project and please post more pics when tou can. It's not a good thing, usually, to see the inside of a hydro, but it's nice to see how others build. KampKurz

                            evil chisels!

My boat building chisel wound many moons ago was "6 to 10 stitches" on the hospital bill. Two weeks before that my boat building razor saw accident was also "6 to 10 stitches." My neighbor worked incoming at the ER and he said he was going to get me a card like a bank card so all he had to do was run it through an imprinter to save time. Funny guy. Then my insurance company contacted me because they thought the hospital was double-billing them! No, sez me, I was double-stupid.
